The CONNECT radio system finds new ways oftransmitting the radio signal. To be specific: alwaysthe best way. Sometimes it leads directly to the targetreceiver and sometimes it is forwarded via anotherreceiver depending on which receiver is currentlybest receiving the radio signal. The re-routing tech-nology makes this possible. Your benefit: always themost reliable radio connections.

Always in dialogue: Transmitter and receiver

Transmitters and receivers are in dialogue for optimaltransmission of the radio signal. That means it is nota case of sending out a one-way radio signal; instead,it is constantly checked that the receiver really hasreceived the radio signal. The receiver sends a responseindicating whether it picked up the radio signal andwhat the signal quality was. If the reception acknow-ledgment is missing once (e.g. due to a reflective wall),the CONNECT radio system automatically searchesfor another way to transmit the radio signal to thereceiver. For example, via another radio receiver in anadjacent room that can forward the signal to the actualreceiver. Perfect conditions for a reliable, trouble-freeradio system in which, by the way, up to 100 partici-pants can be networked together.

No way through: With reflective walls or obstacles, the receiver waits for

the radio signal in vain.

Reliable function with reliable radio connections is the

be-all and end-all of a mature radio system. And this isprecisely what the CONNECT radio system offers.

CONNECT radio system does not permanentlytransmit signals, but rather only when a radio trans-mitter is actuated (sensor network). Merten CONNECT radio system

The Merten CONNECT radio system is a bi-directional radio network. That means that all de-vices can transmit and receive signals simultaneously. It is possible, for example, for signals to

be routed or for alternative radio transmission paths to be searched for (e.g. during temporary

faults).

There are two configuration methods:

The EASY CONNECT method: For the connection of max. five devices which are in the

direct vicinity of one another (e.g. in one room). Configuration is carried out manually. Due

to their complexity, some devices cannot be programmed with EASY CONNECT, or not allof the functions can be programmed. These devices are marked with a special symbol.

Using the CONNECT radio configuration tool: For systems between different rooms with upto 100 devices and extensive functions (scenes, central switching function, switch times,

individual key assignment).

For both types of installation method a so called system administrator must always beintegrated.
