The Sun is a free and inexhaustible energy source. With the devel-opment of technologies for the conversion of so-lar irradiation into elec-trical energy, photo-voltaic systems are be-coming a more preferred alternative to conven-tional energy sources. They are ecological, quiet and harmless and their components are
recyclable. Besides, they have a long operational life with extremely low main-tenance and operational costs. The prices of energy produced from renewable energy sources are the only ones that show a downward trend in a long-term perspective, while the prices of traditional energy sources are subject to inevi-table increase because of the depletion of fossil resources.
The term “self-consumption” refers to the share of electricity produced by the photovoltaic system and con-sumed directly on-site, at the point of production, so the losses from energy transmission and transformation are minimal.The independent power production ensures long-term autarky and pre-dictability of costs. And if the system is capable of storing the excessiveelectricity in batteries, independent power supply can be ensured – even in the event of grid failure.
In the systems for self-consumption, the generated power is used with pri-ority to cover the consumption of the local loads connected to the internal grid. The excess energy, if any, is fed into the grid of the energy-distribution company, and the opposite – if the generated power is not sufficient to cover the current consumption, the difference is compensated by the grid.In Turkey lke in most European countries, there is a policy mecha-nism designed to encourage the in-vestment in such systems . In accord-ance with applicable laws, it is decid-ed to purchase of remaining produc-

More and more individuals and companies are turning their atten-tion to hybrid or fully autonomous solar systems due to the desire for independence from energy monopolistic structures, the high initial investment for grid connec-tion in remote areas with poorly developed energy infrastructure or the need for uninterruptible power supply.
Owing to the huge technological progress of the photovoltaic industry, there has been a significant decrease in the past few years in the prices of the basic solar system components, which has led to a lower cost per kilowatt-hour of energy produced and to shorter periods for return on initial investment.
FILKAB Solar Enerji has gained extensive experience in the construction of three-phase and single-phase photovoltaic systems for own consumption with the option of power storage in family-owned houses and industrial sites. The controllers Steca Solsum F 6.6F, 8.8F, 10.10F are usually used for domestic photovoltaic systems. With a power range up to 10A at automatically recognized 12V or 24V, they fit to system sizes of maximum 240W. They work on PWM as low-loss series controllers.
