This Catalogue of Technology Products which we are delivering to you, tries to show examples of how science and technology can be transformed into “value”. How, from our Regional Resources, we can contribute to the transformation of traditional products, adding to the socio-economic development and improving the quality of life in La Region de La Araucanía.

One of our technological products, AluProt-CGNA®, which gives outstanding levels of plant protein, was awarded the National Prize for Innovation (AVONNI). Our contribution was also highlighted in the magazine “Capital”, who stated that our Institution was transforming the quality of the life of people and communities. They referred to CGNA as an institution that is transforming the life of inhabitants and communities of La Araucanía through science. Likewise, our omega-3 egg was highlighted, at the national level, as an innovative technological product that marked the agroindustry in 2016.

These recognitions are possible thanks to the work of a team of highly qualified researchers, innovative management engineers and administrative personnel. All are committed to contributing to the productive transformation from traditional commodities to differentiated products, with greater sophistication, added value and sustainability.

We cannot fail to mention the coordinated work with the public sector, mainly the Government and Regional Council of La Araucanía. They act as development agencies by allocating resources that, together with the National Commission of Science and Technology, CONICYT, help finance the CGNA. The joint work with the private sector, as well as the establishment of international networks, contribute to us going a further step forward and consolidate the generation of impact and innovation science in the longer term.

Finally, we express our gratitude for being part of La Araucanía, its people and industries. We also thank those people and companies from different regions of the country, who have trusted us, thus contributing to decentralization.

Este catálogo de productos tecnológicos, que ponemos a vuestra disposición, pretende visibilizar cómo la ciencia se transforma en valor y cómo a partir de nuestra riqueza regional, podemos contribuir a la transformación productiva, al desarrollo económico-social y a mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas desde la Araucanía.

Uno de nuestros productos tecnológicos, AluProt-CGNA®, una proteína vegetal premium, fue reconocida con el Premio Nacional a la Innovación AVONNI. Nuestro aporte fue también destacado por la revista Capital, quienes se refirieron al CGNA como una Institución que desde la ciencia está transformando a los habitantes y comunidades de La Araucanía. Asimismo, el huevo omega-3 fue destacado a nivel nacional como un producto tecnológico de innovación que marcó la agroindustria el 2016.

Estos reconocimientos son posibles gracias al trabajo de un equipo humano de investigadores altamente calificados, ingenieros de gestión de la innovación y personal administrativo, todos ellos comprometidos con contribuir a la transformación productiva desde los commodities tradicionales a productos diferenciados, con una mayor sofisticación, valor agregado y sustentabilidad.

No podemos dejar de mencionar un trabajo coordinado con el sector público, principalmente el Gobierno y Consejo Regional de La Araucanía, como entes impulsores del desarrollo al destinar recursos que financian al CGNA en conjunto con la Comisión Nacional del Ciencia y Tecnología, CONICYT. AluProt-CGNA®National Prize for Innovation (AVONNI)

Sweet lupin created with CGNA genetics. It has the highest content of protein - 60% dry matter based on husked grain - which together with its performance allows greater sustainability. Its protein has high biological qualities: digestibility, solubility and totality of essential amino acids. Its grain contains lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene, important antioxidants. The plant has resilience which favours its adaptation to climate change and the conditions of Small-holder/Family Farming.

Uses:Commercial sowing for food and feed industry. Development of technology based gluten-free products: isolated and concentrated protein, grit and byproducts of processing (shell and flour). Its grain can be used directly in ruminants for fattening and dairy.

AluProt-CGNA®Premio Nacional Innovación AVONNI

Lupino dulce creado con genética CGNA. Posee el mayor contenido de proteína -60% base materia seca en grano descascarado- lo cual junto a su rendimiento le permite mayor sustentabilidad. Su proteína posee alta calidad biológica: digestibilidad, solubilidad y totalidad de aminoácidos esenciales. Su grano contiene luteína, zeaxantina y beta-caroteno, importantes antioxidantes. La planta posee resiliencia lo que favorece su adaptación al cambio climático y las condiciones de la Agricultura Familiar Campesina.

Usos:Siembra comercial para la industria de alimentación humana y animal. Desarrollo de productos tecnológicos, libre de gluten: aislado y concentrado proteico, grit y subproductos del procesamiento (cáscara y harinas). Su grano puede usarse en forma directa en rumiantes de engorda y lechería.

Kallfu-CGNA®FLAX · HIGH OMEGA-3 OIL + ANTIOXIDANTS PLUS HIGH MUCILAGE

The first variety of flax (along with the WeNutram-CGNA® variety – below) developed in Chile from our own breeding. Its seed has high oil content (45,3%) and rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids (59,6%). It also has high mucilage (complex protein and soluble fiber) -10%, polyphenols, outstanding lignans, with healthy, functional and anti-carcinogenic properties.

Uses:Its seed can be used to generate high omega-3 oil, food and supplements for human consumption, and gluten-free; also directly for feeding ruminant animals.

For the visco-elastic properties of the mucilage it is an ideal ingredient for bakery and pastry products.

Biofertilizer developed with CGNA® technology. A mixture of five strains of nitrogen-fixing bacteria, native to southern Chile, collected at various geographical points in the Regions of La Araucanía and Los Lagos. High efficiency in fixing atmospheric nitrogen in this growing area. Specific bacteria for Lupinus luteus L. or yellow lupin.

Presentation product in gel or powder for quick and direct application to the seed. It ensures the viability of the bacteria and a coverage of 1x106 bacteria in each seed.

Uses:Application as an inoculant to the seed with conventional disinfection machine, dose of 500 ml / 100 kg of seed.

Compatible for use in the process of disinfection of seeds with insecticides based on Fipronil and fungicide based on Piraclostrobina, required for the control of the bean fly and diseases such as brown spot and anthracnose.

Usos:Aplicación como inoculante a la semilla con maquina convencional de desinfección, dosis de 500ml/100Kg de semilla.
