FOREWORD
This show 'Faces & Portrait 2017' reveals aesthetic emotions and cognitive state of mind of an artist be it a painter, photographer or a graphic artist.A portrait is an artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant be it a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person.
Portrait art existed throughout the ages as documenting the existence of man after death. However, portrait painting is reduced to great extent by the invention of camera. With the passage of time photography is also considered as visual form of art.
The present exhibition is curetted by Kishore Shanker founder of ARTinfoINDIA.COM with the motive to show the creative qualities of portrait artists of various streams who have infused aesthetic expressions in their art.'Faces & Portrait 2017' is an exposition by 36 artists of India displaying varied mediums of their visual languages like paintings, drawing, photographs and graphics.

ARTinfoINDIA.COM, an organization dedicated to the field of Visual Arts in India, is based in Gurgaon- Haryana. It has been managed by a team of artists and professionals and been actively promoting art in its original form. We have been active in organizing various art events such as exhibitions, workshops, art projects and ardently working to bring awareness among young children and youth through programs like children workshops and competitions. We have recently hosted the 5th All India Art Competition for School Children 'Tiger-The National Animal' to sensitize / motivate / educate young and budding children through art towards the importance of our National Symbols.

Anjoo Bajaj Goel was born in the year 1970 at Amritsar, Punjab. She is a post graduate in Interior Design and has completed Bachelor of Fine Arts from Government College of Art, Chandigarh in 1992. Proficient in designing luxury hotels and high end residences. Formerly Manager Design and Finishes, in JW Marriott. Currently she is working in the capacity of Manager Finishes for an upcoming hotel Hyatt Andaz, Aerocity, New Delhi.

Aseem Aggawral
Aseem Aggarwal belongs to district Sri Muktsar Sahib, located in Punjab. A very famous Gurudwara Tuti Gandi Sahib is located and it was built in the memory of the 40 muktas who died fighting for the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. After completing 10th from Little Flower Convent School Muktsar, he pursued to study science and graduated with B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Punjabi University, Patiala.Currently working in an IT company as a lead mobile App developer and for past 3 years she is developing apps for iOS and android platforms.
Pencil sketching & drawing is his childhood hobby and passion therefore beside his technical working hours he started learning professional artistic work under the guidance of artist Raj Veer, the founder of Create Impression Studio at Cresendo Classed Venue. Neeraj Sharma was born in the year 1969 at New Delhi. A bachelor's degree holder from College of Arts, Chandigarh and Diploma holder in Movie Camera and Lighting Techniques from AAFT, Noida. As a Fine Art Photographer he has many National and International assignments to his credit. He also takes photography classes and organises photo workshops for camera enthusiasts.
In his entire career, he has worked in a variety of industries, say Fashion, Food, Product, People, Interior, Corporate, Event, Industrial, Editorial and Travel photography and his works have been published in most of the leading magazines and corporate brochures/catalogues in India & abroad.
He has witnessed many renowned political, religious and fashion developments/events in India's history - be it the visit of former US President Mr. Bill Clinton or Pope John Paul-II or Miss Universe. Another milestone of his career is a Coffee Table Book named “AT HOME-ACROSS THE WORLD. He is among one of the internationally acclaimed photographers, whose finest of the images have found place in this coffee table book. This book was released by the Hon. Radhika Surana a graduate in Fine Arts from Rajasthan University. She completed the four year degree course and a topper in painting faculty. She has worked as an apprentice for five years with Sh. Dwarka Prasad Sharma a very well known artist in Jaipur (1987-1991). She has also worked under Mr Charlie Rapsky a well known artist in Toronto Canada (1990)
Radhika is also a Hindustani Indian classical vocalist . She has a masters degree in Indian classical music. Is presently still training in the benaras kirana gharana under the guidance of Pt Sarathi Chatterjee. She has had solo performances in Udaipur and Gurgaon, at India Habitat Centre Delhi, Patna , Varanasi and Jaipur.

Shakti Singh Ahlawat was born in the year 1967 at Rohtak. He did B.F.A. from Government College of Arts, Chandigarh in year 1991
He was awarded “The Manjit Bawa Award” by the Government of Haryana in the year 2010.He is mostly into portraits and figurative works. Portraits done by him are in display in several museums in India. He has done portraits of Dr A.P.J Abdul kalam, Dr.Pranab Mukherjee and Mr. Navin Chandra Ramgoolam (The Prime Minister of Mauritius). He has attended National Art Festival at Aizwal, Mizoram, organized by Lalit Kala Akademy in 2010.
He displays a tendency to learn on the linearity of strokes. Simret Jandu was born in the year 1968 in Jalandhar- Punjab, is presently based in New Delhi. She attained Bachelors and Masters degrees in French language & literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University-New Delhi.
She spent a lifetime involved in European and French language & literature and writing on various subjects of language, culture, mind, body and soul in a few magazines. She stepped into art as vocation in late 2009. Thereafter, she has had solo and group shows. In 2009 her work selected for AIFACS’ 82nd annual show, in 2010 she put her 1st Solo Show at AIFACS-New Delhi, in 2011 she showcased her oil paintings in a private gallery situated in California, in 2011 and 2012 she participated in group shows held at Lalit Kala Academy-New Delhi.
She finds it humbling as many of her works are in various private collections, especially in Europe.
