Caterpillar cares about the well-being of its employees, retirees and their families—

so much so that the company sponsors the Caterpillar Social Activities Program. The program, which

offers a variety of activities and services,

helps connect the Caterpillar family by creating opportunities to come together in a relaxed, social environment. Whether

through physical activity or a social gathering, life-long friendships and

camaraderie are developed. These positive relationships and assistance with work/life balance are proven to increase job satisfaction and productivity.

The program serves more than 20,000 employees, retirees and their families each year. Offerings include events, special

interest clubs, athletic leagues, discount tickets, bus trips, and convenience

services. All offers are communicated in this newsletter, as well as on posters and bulletin boards in the facilities, and on the Social Activities

website.

Cat Day with the Peoria Chiefs for employees, retirees, and their families will be Sunday, June 9, at 5 p.m. when the Peoria Chiefs take on the Quad Cities River Bandits at Peoria Chiefs Stadium. Gates open at 4 p.m. The

first 1,500 children (ages 12 and under) through the gates will receive a Peoria Chiefs / Caterpillar mini bat. In addition, the Caterpillar Employees Mixed Chorus will be performing the National Anthem to kick off the game.

Get up to six tickets from Caterpillar Social Activities at a drastically reduced price of $4 each. To purchase more than six, the price per voucher is $7 (regular price $10). You will receive a voucher that MUST be exchanged for a ticket at the Peoria Chiefs

Box Office. All vouchers must be exchanged for tickets prior to going to the entry gate (this can be done on game day or prior to game day). Levels of seats included in the “voucher-to-ticket exchange” are the lawn area and the club box seat level…at no

additional cost…depending on availability.

2013 Cat Family Fishing Derby

String up your poles and bring your family to the Cat Family Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 1, at the Illinois Central College Pond, East Peoria Campus. Enjoy a fun-filled morning of fishing, activities and refreshments. Kids can have their picture taken with their catch of the day and receive a photo holder to display the picture. They will receive a sticker to place in the folder for each catch thereafter.Bring your fishing poles and lawn chairs. A limited supply of fishing poles will be available. Wax and dew worms will be provided for bait.Volunteers will be on hand to help those who don’t enjoy baiting a hook or removing a fish from the hook. Face painting, walk-around clowns, and an inflatable bouncer are among other activities available.
