BUTTERFLIES ARE BEAUTIFUL
IT WOULD BE AMAZING TO BE A BUTTERFLY
Think about how great it would be to spread our wings and fly high in the sky.
DID YOU KNOW…
That butterflies come from caterpillars and they go through 4 stages in their lives. People go through similar stages.
IN THE EGG STAGE
Caterpillars are hatched from eggs.
Mothers keep their babies safe and warm.
IN THE CATERPILLAR STAGEThe caterpillar starts eating and crawling.
Babies drink milk to help them grow. Then they crawl and walk.
IN THE CHRYSALIS STAGE
The caterpillar struggles to change into a butterfly
As teens, we are also struggling to make changes.
IN THE ADULT STAGE
The caterpillar emerges and spreads its wings.
We become an adult who should feel confident and full of energy.
WE ARE ALL AT DIFFERENT STAGES IN OUR LIVES
We start as a Crawling Caterpillar.
Then we are a Struggling Chrysalis.
Finally we become a Confident Butterfly!
WE ARE GOING TO LEARN HOW TO BECOME BUTTERFLIES
We do this by building confidence and increasing our self-esteem
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM
Confidence – can Self-esteem – canbe seen by others only be seen by self
LET'S LEARN SOME THINGS ABOUT OURSELF
We are all different.
WE LIKE TO DO DIFFERENT THINGS
Some like to play music, dance, sing.
Some like to play sports like baseball, soccer or swim.
THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS THAT WE CAN'T NAME THEM ALL....
WE HAVE DIFFERENT PERSONALITY TRAITS
We have positive and negative traits.
WE HAVE DIFFERENT ABILITIES
BE AWARE OF WHO YOU ARE
Focus on what you can do and not what you can’t do. You have amazing abilities!
WE NEED TO ACCEPT OURSELVES
