Profession of Faith: Nicene Creed I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begot-ten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with
the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, he came down from

Prayers of the Faithful
PERSISTENCE. Today’s readings are about persistence, passionate persistence. Exodus tells of a battle won despite weariness because Moses, with help from Aaron and Hur, held his hands raised. Timothy asks that same persistence of his community and us. Luke tells of a court case won by a widow, despite the dishonesty of the judge, because she will not leave him alone. The
psalm reminds us that God is everywhere, guarding us from harm day and night, coming and going, now and forever. The readings are about persistence, the relentless, unwavering pursuit of what must not be lost. The readings are about God’s passionate persistence in pursuing us, seeking to win our hearts. .

On First Saturday, November 2nd, after the 12 noon Mass, the Parish will hold the Annual Visit to Our Lady of the Lake’s Cemetery in honor of All Souls Day. This is a special day the Church sets aside for the faithful to visit a cemetery and to remember the Faithful Departed. PLEASE
NOTE THE DAY AND TIME FOR THE VISIT. Throughout the month of November beginning on November 2nd, the Parish will offer prayers and Masses for all the Faithful Departed. Envelopes can be found in your
OSV Envelope Sets or special envelopes marked “All Souls Day” can be found in the Vollkommer Bell Tower. Parishioners can use them to include the names of their deceased relatives and friends. Once completed, place in the Collection Basket. These envelopes will stay on the altar for the month of November.
Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Claire Austin and Family on the passing of Claire’s husband, Walter Austin. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and their loved ones.

Grounds Maintenance – Do you have a green thumb and love to work outdoors to make our world prettier? Assists in keeping our property welcoming by trimming bushes, planting flowers, putting down mulch, and pulling weeds in the flower area. The Knights of Columbus are collecting coats for the NEEDY of our local community. There are collection bins in the Narthex, Family Life Center and outside of St. Andrew Hall.

one "NEW" or "Lightly Used" Coat for either a Child or Teen during the period during the collection period which will end October 20th. UPDATE: SO FAR, ONLY 147 COATS HAVE BEEN DONATED, FAR FROM THE GOAL OF 300 COATS. PLEASE HELP!

B aptism is the premier Sacrament of the Church and the beginning of our eternal life with God. If you
are expecting a child, or have a child that has not yet been Baptized, a short preparation class is required. Classes will be scheduled on Sundays of every other month at 3:00 pm in St. Andrew Hall. You must call the church office to register so that we know you are coming or make other arrangements necessary. NEXT CLASS: NOVEMBER 10, 2019 (English). A class in Spanish will be held but is yet to be determined.

HEARING IMPAIRED??? Our Lady of the Lake now has devices to assist the hearing impaired! Packets with equipment choices are available before all Masses. Each packet contains a battery powered receiver and 3 choices of connectivity -- an ear piece, an ear bud, or a coil loop. To use the coil loop,
