"The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the
harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” We know all too well the reali-
ty of Jesus’ words from today’s gospel. The number of priests and lay leaders
is at a crisis point. By virtue of our baptism, we are sent out as “laborers for his harvest.” How will you respond to Jesus’ words, “Go on your way. . . I am
sending you. . .”? Pray for the grace to be a courageous disciple!

Billerica Catholic Religious Education now offers online registration! Families may
sign up online through our website, with payments made through your parishes’ Online
Giving. We offer partial payments and financial aid requests as well as payment in full.

register as soon as possible to ensure your child’s place in your first choice of time/
location. As always, we need teachers, teacher aides and hall monitors. If you would

Pam Newfell has been with St. Andrew Parish and the Catholic Community
of Billerica for over 20 years. This summer she will be retiring from her posi-
tion as Office Manager and Business Manger at St. Andrew. Pam’s love of St.
Andrew Church, the Catholic Community of Billerica, liturgy, music, and the
St. Andrew community are exemplified in all she does.
We would like to take a moment and show Pam our appreciation and thanks
for all her hard work over the years. Please stop by on Sunday, July 21st
after the 8:00am Mass at St. Andrew as we wish Pam well in her retirement.

Summer Adventure Week What an awesome time Followers and Counselors alike had during
Summer Adventure Week! The weather held up for most of the week
and there was tons of fun, dancing and learning about Jesus and St. Paul.
During the week, we learned that:
-God loves us all
-God loves us and takes care of us
-God loves us when others don’t
-God loves us and sent his son, Jesus
-God loves us and wants to share his love
Many thanks to the adult and youth volunteers and counselors who gave freely of their time and made this

Billerica Catholic Religious Education Office Summer Hours! The BCRE Office will be closed for the summer thru Au-
gust 15. Regular office hours will resume on Monday, August
19. You may return your 2019-2020 Registration Form by mail
or drop it off in the black mailbox next to the BCRE office
door. You may also drop it off with the office manager at any
parish office. Feel free to leave a message or email during this time, as voicemails and emails will be checked
on a regular basis. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Have a wonderful summer!
Volunteer Drivers Needed Meals on Wheels delivers meals to homebound
seniors in the Billerica area on Mondays-Fridays
from 9:30am-1:30pm. At this time, Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to deliver these
meals a couple of days a week. If you are interest-
ed, please reach out to Laura Garvin at 978-651-

As summer weather has ar-
rived and some of us have
begun enjoying vacation time,
just a reminder that parish
expenses do not end! In or-
der to meet our expenses we
really need to sustain our
weekly offertory. So, to help
our parishes, parishioners
who worship at vacation
churches are asked to send a "catch-up donation"
to make up for their week(s) away. To those who
have already begun doing this, we thank you!

Volunteers are needed to unload the truck and set
-up in the morning, to distribute food in the after-
noon, and then breakdown and clean up. Call
