AFTERNOON TEA AND CONCERT You are invited to attend a concert and afternoon tea on Saturday, 21st April from 3pm to 5pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace hall. BOOKS NEEDED Do you have any children's prayer books/ small bibles / activity books pens and crayons which we can use to build some activity bags for children to use during Mass? If you have anything suitable please leave in the boxes marked 'children's book donations' which will be at the back of each church during the next few weeks. Any queries please call Maria Kavanagh on 07810 272775.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD A heartfelt thank you for all the craft items: buttons, wool etc. which you have donated to Operation Christmas Child. The response has been tremendous. It has meant that we can continue making items to go into the children's shoe boxes and many children will benefit. At the moment we have enough to work with but will let you know when we have used them all and are in need of more! God bless and reward you all for your generosity to the children. CRAFT SESSIONS Our craft sessions in which we make items for the Operation Christmas child shoe boxes are taking place in the Community Room, Waitrose Super Market, London Road, Worcester WR5 2JG from 1.15pm to 3.15pm on April 11th and 25th; May 9th and 23rd; June 6th and 20th; July 4th and 18th. Everyone is welcome to these sessions so please feel free to drop in during these times for part or all of the session. MARCH FOR LIFE 2018
#March4LifeUK, #Lifefest18,
#WhyWeMarch
Canon Brian is considering taking a coach to London for this year’s March for Life on 5th May. With the unborn child coming under increasing attack from MPs and those in the medical profession and the abortion industry who support the decriminalisation of abortion and removal of peaceful prayer vigils outside abortion clinics, it is more important than ever to show solidarity with the most vulnerable in our society. Please speak to Canon Brian if you are interested in attending the event. For more information about the event go to www.marchforlife.co.uk

DIVINE MERCY PILGRIMAGE Preparation for The Feast of Divine Mercy on Saturday, 7th April 2018, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, The Friars, Aylesford Priory at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7BX, led by Rt Rev Paul Hendricks and Marian Father. WALK WITH ME Easter edition now available at both churches. Please take one home.
PIETY STALL First Holy Communion cards and mementoes are now on sale. WEDNESDAY WORD is available at the back of Church each week and is an excellent way of preparing for Mass each Sunday. Please do take a copy.
DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET will be recited
before 12 noon Mass on the first Friday of
each month at St George’s.
MISSION APPEAL – ST GEORGE’S There will be an appeal next weekend 7th/8th April at all the Sunday Masses by the Verona Fathers. There will be no Exposition or Sacrament of Reconciliation at St George’s next weekend.
SATURDAY PARKING AT ST GEORGE’S We are currently very short of volunteers to help collect the £2 parking fee for Saturday parking
at St George’s, particularly for the early slot from 8.30am to 10.30am. This is the time when most of the shoppers arrive, and thus brings in the most income. If this slot is not ‘staffed’ then the income drops substantially. We are hugely grateful to those who brave all weathers and give their time week after week to collect this vital income. Please consider whether you can offer even one slot per month. There is a list on a clip board on the table at the back of church to which you can add your name. Many thanks.
GIFT AID ENVELOPES for 2018-2019 are
now available from the table at the back of
church. Please take your box home with you.
If you donate by Standing Order you will find
a smaller box which has been allocated to
you containing just the Special Collection
envelopes. Boxes have been arranged in
alphabetical order. If you have any queries
about your envelopes please contact Susan
in the parish office.
Important If your circumstances have
changed and you no longer pay income tax or
if you have changed your address you must
notify Susan Fairman in the Parish office so
your details can be amended accordingly.
Finally, if you are a UK tax payer and you
would like to join the Gift Aid scheme please
contact Susan Fairman. All it takes is your
name, address and signature on the Gift Aid
form. We do not need any financial
information from you. The Gift Aid scheme
brings in an extra £10,000 plus to the parish
each year. Please consider joining the
scheme if you can.
