Causes of Female Infertility

Many couples today are seen having problems in conceiving because either one or both, in the couple suffer with infertility due to several reasons. Here in this article we shall be discussing a few of the causes leading to female infertility. Hormonal imbalance and any disruption in the process of balance of hormones can cause a

hindrance in the ovulation, which thus ultimately lead to infertility.

When the ovaries fail to produce normal follicles in which the eggs mature, it leads to anovulation causing infertility.

Hypothalamus malfunction, where the brain signals are not sent to the pituitary gland and ultimately the egg maturation does not occur, is another major cause of anovulation, which causes infertility.

Surgeries are required for healing the ovarian cysts and repetition of such surgeries can lead

to physical damage to the ovaries and thus a failed ovulation that causes infertility. A menopause before the normal age, which is generally in athletic women with a low body

weight, causes anovulation and thus infertility. Poorly functioning Fallopian tubes due to infection, abdominal diseases and previous

surgeries are another cause of infertility in females. Ectopic pregnancy that occurs in the Fallopian tube and even if carried on successfully

causes tubal damage. This is a life threatening condition and can lead to infertility.

Endometriosis is also a reason for infertility in a plenty of women.
