Objectives of CCA
1) To develop students’ skills/talents beyond the classroom.
2) To engage students’ mind and body through suitable active and
healthy lifestyle activities.
3) To develop students’ character in line with Madrasah Irsyad’s
holistic education approach.

Important Information
Revised CCA Structure:
• Dual CCA Scheme for Primary 3 students: Primary 3 students who take
up CCA will be required to choose 1 Physical and 1 Non-Physical CCA,
each lasting for 8 sessions (total of 16 sessions for both CCAs in the year)
The objectives of this scheme are to provide Primary 3 students:
- a balanced development and
- room to make a better-informed decision before they continue to the 2-
Years CCA Scheme when in Primary 4 and 5 subsequently.
• 2-Years CCA Scheme for Primary 4 & 5 students: Primary 4 students
who take up CCA will be required to remain in the same CCA when in
Primary 5 if they take up CCA again in the subsequent year.
The objectives of this scheme are to develop in Primary 4 and 5 students:
- a sense of commitment,
- a greater level of mastery in the chosen CCA.
• Soccer (Boys) and Netball (Girls) only offered for Primary 4 & 5
students but on Saturdays: Primary 4 & 5 students may take up soccer or
netball as their only CCA or as a second CCA, which will be held on 20
Saturdays.
The objectives of this scheme are to allow Primary 4 & 5 students:
- the opportunity to pick up a non-physical CCA but still have the chance to
be physically active
- to have a more progressive and intensive soccer and netball training

Eligibility to participate in CCA:
• CCAs are available to Primary 3 to Primary 5 students in 2020.
• For 2020, ALL students are allowed to change the CCAs that they took in
2019.
• However, for students who wish to remain in the same CCA, they will be
given a registration window for direct application. However, they shall lose
the automatic registration option if they missed the window. For
administration purposes, no leeway will be given.
• From 2021 onwards, the 2-Years CCA Scheme will be enforced, hence
Primary 5 2021 students must remain in the same CCA that they took
when in Primary 4 2020.
• Students with outstanding CCA fees from current/ previous year/s will
be required to complete the past payments before the system will
allow them to register for CCA in 2020.

• 1 Non-Physical CCA (Art/ Master Chef/ Robotics)
Primary 4
• 1 Non-Physical CCA (Art/ Khat/ Master Chef Jr/ Media/ Robotics/ STEM) OR
• 1 Physical CCA (Outdoor Adventure/ Silat/ Swimming (Boys/ Girls)/ Track & Field); AND/ OR
• Soccer or Netball (on Saturday) as the only CCA or a second CCA

CCA Schedule:
• All CCAs, except for Soccer and Netball, are conducted on 16 Fridays,
please refer to the CCA calendar on page 19 for the schedules.
• Timing for CCAs conducted within school premises - 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
• If a particular CCA goes for an external programme e.g. learning journey,
timing will be from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., inclusive of travel time.
• Timing for CCAs conducted at an external venue – 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
(inclusive of travel time, activity time will be from 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
(1.5 hr))
• Soccer and Netball will be offered only to Primary 4 & 5 students and will be
conducted on 16 Saturdays. Timings for Soccer and Netball will be from
8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. No transport will be provided for students
participating in Soccer and Netball.
• Information for registration for Primary 6 Soccer and Netball will only be
released in January 2020.
CCA vendors/trainers & CCA venues:
• Majority of the CCAs are conducted by qualified vendors. All CCA vendors
have experience conducting the CCA in National schools.
• A few CCAs are conducted by qualified and experienced teachers, who are
subject matter experts in the respective fields.
• Majority of the CCAs are conducted in school, but some CCAs which require
special setting are conducted outside the school compound.
• In order to enhance the learning experience, some CCAs will have certain
training sessions conducted outside school

• For ALL P2 (2019) students, those who want to change CCA (P3 & 4)
and those who missed the Phase 1.
• Temporary Confirmation until payment of 1st Cycle fees
• Students may change their selected CCAs as long as the registration
window remains open
For phase 1 & 2, students’ places are temporarily booked. Registration
will only be fully confirmed after payment of 1st Cycle fees by Thursday,
21st Nov 2019, 5.00pm. 2 methods of payments:
i. via Paypal through Nizomobile system
ii. via Cash/ Nets at General Office

Parents can check Nizomobile for the status of their child’s applications.
Important Reminders
• Please choose only the CCA which you are interested in
• All application will be put on Temporary Confirmation until payment for 1st
Cycle Fees are received by their respective stipulated datelines.
• Once your application for a CCA is successful, the remaining CCA Fees
for Cycles 2 - 4 will be deducted on the stipulated deduction dates and all
fees paid is strictly non-refundable
• There will NOT be any CCA confirmation letter issued, the awarded CCA
will be displayed in your Nizomobile portal

2) Withdrawal From CCA
Withdrawal from the allocated CCA is NOT ALLOWED as the student is not
utilising the place in the CCA which could have been allocated to another
interested student at the start of the year.
Withdrawal from the CCA is ONLY allowed due to valid reasons, such as
medical-related reasons.
Withdrawal procedure
1) Parents of student are to click the Request for Withdrawal button in
their child’s Nizomobile portal account.
2) The Withdrawal email must be submitted at least 4 CCA lessons in
advance.
3) Parent must state clearly the reason and supporting documents must be
attached.
4) The CCA Committee will then review the withdrawal request and respond
through email.
5) Parents can also view the status of their request at their child’s
Nizomobile portal account.
Tuition / Enrichment classes
After a CCA has been allocated, please avoid arranging tuition or
enrichment classes on CCA days as stated in the CCA schedule. Having
tuition or enrichment classes does not constitute a valid reason to quit the
allocated CCA as the CCA schedule has been released in advance.

Programme Type Description Detail for existing members
Modular The programme changes every year. The programme will begin with basic skills for each module. Hence, no prior knowledge/skills required.
Existing members are encouraged to continue the same CCA.

CCA Fees Payment Procedure
• CCA Fees are paid in cycles – 1 cycle for 4 sessions, hence 4 cycles a
year
• Only the 1st Cycle Fees are paid during registration progress in 2019 via
Paypal or Cash/ Nets at the General Office, based on the respective
registration phases your child is in (refer to Page 8-9)
• CCA Fees for Cycles 2 – 4 must be paid by GIRO
• Students with no existing School Fee GIRO arrangement must obtain a
GIRO form from the School General Office
• GIRO deduction dates:

will not be allowed to join the CCA.

Frequently Asked Questions
All CCAs will be conducted by experienced & qualified external vendors.
Vendors have been selected based on the various criteria such as suitability of their programmes, their
experiences in conducting the programmes in other schools and their track record.
Some CCAs are conducted by qualified and experienced teachers, who are subject matter experts in the
respective fields.
Q2) Will there be Madrasah teachers overseeing each of the CCAs?
Every CCA will have between 1 to 2 teachers on-site to oversee the whole running of their respective CCAs.
Q3) How will my child be informed of his/her allocated CCA?
All application will receive immediate confirmation via the Nizomobile e-registration portal after payment of
the 1st Cycle Fees. Direct URL - http://nizomobile.irsyad.sg/enizom/student/login.aspx
Q4) Will my child be able to join Tahfiz as a CCA?
Tahfiz is not offered as a CCA, but it will be offered as a specialised programme under the
Madrasah’s Quran Academy. There are alternative tahfiz schedules to accommodate students who sign up
for a CCA. Please approach Cikgu Zulkifli/ Ust Faiz for more details.
Participation
Q1) Is CCA compulsory for all students?
CCA is not compulsory for all students. However, students are strongly encouraged to take-up a CCA to
develop their skills/talents beyond the classroom. In addition, their participation may enhance their character
development, and provide opportunities to represent the school in external or National competitions, which
will be reflected in their character progress report.
Q2) Are CCAs open to all students?
No, CCAs are only open to Primary 3 to Primary 5 students only.
However, Primary 6 student may sign up for Soccer (boys) and Netball (girls) later in 2020.
Q3) Can my child participate in more than 1 CCA?
Yes, but only for students who wish to take up soccer/ netball. The 2 CCAs will be offered only on Saturdays,
hence students may sign up for other CCAs on Fridays. All registrations are subjected to availability of

Q4) Are students allowed to change to another CCA within the year?
Students will not be allowed to change to another CCA to ensure progressive development of the
skills/talents. Only Primary 3 students may change their CCA when going to Primary 4.
Q5) Will a student be allowed to take a different CCA in subsequent years?
For 2020, students may change their CCAs. For 2021, only Primary 3 students going to Primary 4 will be allowed to change. For 2020, Primary 4 students are advised to decide wisely because they are required to remain in the same CCA when in Primary 5 in 2021, due to the 2-year CCA scheme for Primary 4 & 5.
Q6) Will there be any CCA records?
Yes, for all students, there will be CCA component in their Character Progress report in their report book.
Q7) How about the CCA records for students who did not participate in any CCAs?
It will be reflected as "Nil" for their CCA records.
Q8) Can a student switch from CCA to Tahfiz as they are both on the same day?
No, you could sign him for tahfidz on other days.
CCA Payment
Q1) How much do my child need to pay to participate in a CCA?
As different vendors charge differently, prices are reflected in the List of CCAs.
Q2) How do I make payments?
The 1st Cycle Fees are to be paid during the registration phase this year, via Paypal or Cash/ NETS at the
General Office. Fees for Cycles 2 – 4 are to be paid via Giro. Please refer to page

Q3) Are students allowed to use their Edusave to pay for the CCA fees?
As CCAs are optional, the use of Edusave is not allowed. The use of Edusave is reserved for compulsory
activities such as whitespace programmes & enrichment programmes.

Wet Weather Programme
Q1) What are the plans for the CCAs during wet weather?
CCAs conducted within the school premises (e.g. Khat, Netball)
- Indoor activities: Will carry-on as per normal
- Outdoor activities: Theory-based lesson will be conducted indoors at one of the classrooms
CCAs conducted outside school premises (e.g. Archery, Swimming)
- Indoor activities: Will carry-on as per normal
- Outdoor activities: Theory-based lesson will be conducted indoors
(At the external location stipulated in the CCA table)
Vendors will provide a safe & comfortable venue for the theory lesson
The dismissal time & location of all CCAs will remain unchanged.
Dismissal / School Transport
Q1) At what time will students be dismissed after their CCA?
For externally located CCAs, students will be transported back to school after their CCA ends at 4.00 pm and
will be dismissed once they reach back at school, latest by 4.30 pm.
For internally located CCAs, students will be dismissed at 4.30 pm.
Q2) Will there be transport arrangement to send students back home after attending CCA?
We are pleased to inform you that there will be Evening School Transport service arranged to send students
back home after their CCA.
This service is available to all students, regardless of whether they take the school transport in the morning
or not. Please indicate if you require your transport home for your child when registering at the Nizom e-
registration portal. However, there is an additional payment incurred (please refer to Q6).
Evening School Transport service will only be available on days where CCA have been scheduled. Please
refer to CCA Schedule as attached.
Q3) Can my child take the school transport (Evening School Transport service) after his/her CCA if
he/she does not usually take the school bus to school?
Yes, the Evening School Transport service is available to all students regardless of whether he/she is taking
the school bus to come to school in the morning or not. Please refer to page 16.
Q4) Are students allowed to be dismissed from the CCA venue conducted outside the school
premises?
If the student did not opt for the Evening School Transport service, your child will be allowed to be dismissed
at the CCA venue. Parents may fetch their child directly from the CCA venue.

Q5) What time will the school transport leave the school premises?
The school transport will leave the school premises as soon as all students in a particular bus have been
accounted for. The estimated departure time will be between 4.30pm - 4.45pm.
Q6) Will there be additional cost for the evening school transport to send my child back home?
Yes, an additional $5 or $7 per trip is payable directly to the bus driver. Payment is done on every trip as the
driver may not be the same for every evening.
Students who take the school bus to school on a daily basis are required to pay $5 per trip.
Students who do not take the school bus to school on a daily basis are required to pay $7 per trip.
Q7) Is it compulsory for students to take the evening school transport service if they take the morning
school transport?
Evening school transport service is optional for students. Parents may arrange their own transport
arrangement for their children.
Q8) Who will be providing the evening school transport service?
Our school transport service provider, Kurnia Transport Pte Ltd, will be providing and managing all evening
school transport service.
Q9) Will there be transport service for Soccer/ Netball CCAs on Saturdays?

Important Reminders
• Please choose only the CCA which you are interested in
• All application will be put on Temporary Confirmation until payment for 1st
Cycle Fees are received by their respective stipulated datelines.
• Once your application for a CCA is successful, the remaining CCA Fees
for Cycles 2 - 4 will be deducted on the stipulated deduction dates and all
fees paid is strictly non-refundable
• There will NOT be any CCA confirmation letter issued, the awarded CCA
will be displayed in your Nizomobile portal

2) Withdrawal From CCA
Withdrawal from the allocated CCA is NOT ALLOWED as the student is not
utilising the place in the CCA which could have been allocated to another
interested student at the start of the year.
Withdrawal from the CCA is ONLY allowed due to valid reasons, such as
medical-related reasons.
Withdrawal procedure
1) Parents of student are to click the Request for Withdrawal button in
their child’s Nizomobile portal account.
2) The Withdrawal email must be submitted at least 4 CCA lessons in
advance.
3) Parent must state clearly the reason and supporting documents must be
attached.
4) The CCA Committee will then review the withdrawal request and respond
through email.
5) Parents can also view the status of their request at their child’s
Nizomobile portal account.
Tuition / Enrichment classes
After a CCA has been allocated, please avoid arranging tuition or
enrichment classes on CCA days as stated in the CCA schedule. Having
tuition or enrichment classes does not constitute a valid reason to quit the
allocated CCA as the CCA schedule has been released in advance.

CCA Fees Payment Procedure
• CCA Fees are paid in cycles – 1 cycle for 4 sessions, hence 4 cycles a
year
• Only the 1st Cycle Fees are paid during registration progress in 2019 via
Paypal or Cash/ Nets at the General Office, based on the respective
registration phases your child is in (refer to Page 8-9)
• CCA Fees for Cycles 2 – 4 must be paid by GIRO
• Students with no existing School Fee GIRO arrangement must obtain a
GIRO form from the School General Office

Frequently Asked Questions
All CCAs will be conducted by experienced & qualified external vendors.
Vendors have been selected based on the various criteria such as suitability of their programmes, their
experiences in conducting the programmes in other schools and their track record.
Some CCAs are conducted by qualified and experienced teachers, who are subject matter experts in the
respective fields.
Q2) Will there be Madrasah teachers overseeing each of the CCAs?
Every CCA will have between 1 to 2 teachers on-site to oversee the whole running of their respective CCAs.
Q3) How will my child be informed of his/her allocated CCA?
All application will receive immediate confirmation via the Nizomobile e-registration portal after payment of

Q4) Will my child be able to join Tahfiz as a CCA?
Tahfiz is not offered as a CCA, but it will be offered as a specialised programme under the
Madrasah’s Quran Academy. There are alternative tahfiz schedules to accommodate students who sign up
for a CCA. Please approach Cikgu Zulkifli/ Ust Faiz for more details.
Participation
Q1) Is CCA compulsory for all students?
CCA is not compulsory for all students. However, students are strongly encouraged to take-up a CCA to
develop their skills/talents beyond the classroom. In addition, their participation may enhance their character
development, and provide opportunities to represent the school in external or National competitions, which
will be reflected in their character progress report.
Q2) Are CCAs open to all students?
No, CCAs are only open to Primary 3 to Primary 5 students only.
However, Primary 6 student may sign up for Soccer (boys) and Netball (girls) later in 2020.
Q3) Can my child participate in more than 1 CCA?
Yes, but only for students who wish to take up soccer/ netball. The 2 CCAs will be offered only on Saturdays,
hence students may sign up for other CCAs on Fridays. All registrations are subjected to availability of

Q4) Are students allowed to change to another CCA within the year?
Students will not be allowed to change to another CCA to ensure progressive development of the
skills/talents. Only Primary 3 students may change their CCA when going to Primary 4.
Q5) Will a student be allowed to take a different CCA in subsequent years?
For 2020, students may change their CCAs. For 2021, only Primary 3 students going to Primary 4 will be allowed to change. For 2020, Primary 4 students are advised to decide wisely because they are required to remain in the same CCA when in Primary 5 in 2021, due to the 2-year CCA scheme for Primary 4 & 5.
Q6) Will there be any CCA records?
Yes, for all students, there will be CCA component in their Character Progress report in their report book.
Q7) How about the CCA records for students who did not participate in any CCAs?
It will be reflected as "Nil" for their CCA records.
Q8) Can a student switch from CCA to Tahfiz as they are both on the same day?
No, you could sign him for tahfidz on other days.
CCA Payment
Q1) How much do my child need to pay to participate in a CCA?
As different vendors charge differently, prices are reflected in the List of CCAs.
Q2) How do I make payments?
The 1st Cycle Fees are to be paid during the registration phase this year, via Paypal or Cash/ NETS at the
General Office. Fees for Cycles 2 – 4 are to be paid via Giro. Please refer to page

Q3) Are students allowed to use their Edusave to pay for the CCA fees?
As CCAs are optional, the use of Edusave is not allowed. The use of Edusave is reserved for compulsory
activities such as whitespace programmes & enrichment programmes.

Wet Weather Programme
Q1) What are the plans for the CCAs during wet weather?
CCAs conducted within the school premises (e.g. Khat, Netball)
- Indoor activities: Will carry-on as per normal
- Outdoor activities: Theory-based lesson will be conducted indoors at one of the classrooms
CCAs conducted outside school premises (e.g. Archery, Swimming)

Dismissal / School Transport
Q1) At what time will students be dismissed after their CCA?
For externally located CCAs, students will be transported back to school after their CCA ends at 4.00 pm and
will be dismissed once they reach back at school, latest by 4.30 pm.
For internally located CCAs, students will be dismissed at 4.30 pm.
Q2) Will there be transport arrangement to send students back home after attending CCA?
We are pleased to inform you that there will be Evening School Transport service arranged to send students
back home after their CCA.
This service is available to all students, regardless of whether they take the school transport in the morning
or not. Please indicate if you require your transport home for your child when registering at the Nizom e-
registration portal. However, there is an additional payment incurred (please refer to Q6).
Evening School Transport service will only be available on days where CCA have been scheduled. Please
refer to CCA Schedule as attached.
Q3) Can my child take the school transport (Evening School Transport service) after his/her CCA if
he/she does not usually take the school bus to school?
Yes, the Evening School Transport service is available to all students regardless of whether he/she is taking
the school bus to come to school in the morning or not. Please refer to page 16.
Q4) Are students allowed to be dismissed from the CCA venue conducted outside the school
premises?
If the student did not opt for the Evening School Transport service, your child will be allowed to be dismissed
at the CCA venue. Parents may fetch their child directly from the CCA venue.

Q5) What time will the school transport leave the school premises?
The school transport will leave the school premises as soon as all students in a particular bus have been
accounted for. The estimated departure time will be between 4.30pm - 4.45pm.
Q6) Will there be additional cost for the evening school transport to send my child back home?
Yes, an additional $5 or $7 per trip is payable directly to the bus driver. Payment is done on every trip as the
driver may not be the same for every evening.
Students who take the school bus to school on a daily basis are required to pay $5 per trip.
Students who do not take the school bus to school on a daily basis are required to pay $7 per trip.
Q7) Is it compulsory for students to take the evening school transport service if they take the morning
school transport?
Evening school transport service is optional for students. Parents may arrange their own transport
arrangement for their children.
Q8) Who will be providing the evening school transport service?
Our school transport service provider, Kurnia Transport Pte Ltd, will be providing and managing all evening
school transport service.
Q9) Will there be transport service for Soccer/ Netball CCAs on Saturdays?
