An Introduction to Carpentry
Introduction to Carpentry is a 6-week program designed to introduce elementary-aged students
to the basics of carpentry. This course will include topics such as woodshop safety, PPE (personal
protective equipment), an introduction to construction math using the tape measure and speed
square. Lastly, we will address basic hand tools and best practices. This is a hands-on course
which will meet for 1, 60-minute session each week for a total of 6 weeks. Even though Kids
Learning Carpentry, LLC is skill based as opposed to project based, students will work under the
guidance of Carl Robbins to build a small project such as a simple, wooden ‘catch-all’ box, picture
frame, or wooden cork bulletin board. The total cost for this series is $120 per student ($20 per
hour) and is to be collected on the first day of class. The price of this course includes 6-hours of
instruction/build time, use of KLC modular workbenches, all supplies and materials. Parents will be
provided with an invoice for record keeping, as well as, several handouts explaining the tools being
used and lessons taught.

Screen Actor Training Classes
For Cardinal Charter Students.
Students greatly increase:
*confidence *self-awareness
*communication skills *critical thinking
*creative problem solving *improvisation
These valuable classes help each student’s presentation and speaking
skills. We learn all these traits by having a lot of FUN! It’s so much fun, the kids don’t even realize
they are learning. We play lots of creative games to help students spur their imagination to even
greater heights. Each class is recorded with a broadcast quality camera. The performances are
then uploaded via private link where students and parents can review.
I think it is important to specify that I’m not trying to make your child a professional actor.
(Out of 1,000 students I’ve taught all over the world, I told exactly two that they ought to
move to Los Angeles). As a seasoned instructor, I focus on personal development.
Winter Quarter 2019
