Setup Distribution List (SO15)Created two lists:

BASIS_GROUP list of both Pager numbers and Email addresses- list will be used for High Priority Alerts that will page and send email.

CCMS_ALERTS list of email addresses- list will be used for Low Priority Alerts that will just be emailed.

Setup SAPConnect (SCOT)Verify Job:

SAPCONNECT ALL SEND Runs program RSCONN01 with variant SAP&CONNECTALL- Sends messages to external communication systems.


Setup Auto Reaction Method (RZ21)The Auto-Reaction Method is the method that executes automatically when an alert is triggered. For Paging when an alert is triggered, the CCMS_OnAlert_Email method is the method used to send out pages automatically when an alert is triggered.Click on Display Overview.Select CCMS_OnAlert_Email and click Edit Data.


Select Parameters Tab.

Add SENDER: (Must be a valid user in Client 000)

Add RECIPIENT: (add the distribution list name depending on high or low priority alert)

Add RECIPIENT-TYPEID: (C for distribution lists) Setup Auto Reaction Method (RZ21)


Setup Auto Reaction Method (RZ21) Select the Release tab

Select the Auto-Reaction Method check box.

Click Save.


Setup Auto Reaction Method (RZ21)Copy CCMS_OnAlert_Email to have different distribution list associated to it. Select CCMS_OnAlert_Email and click Copy

Enter New Method name in to field. Example: Z_CCMS_OnALert_Email Low Priority

Change the Recipient (slides 5, 6) for new copied method to CCMS_Alerts or another distibution listNow we have Two CCMS_OnAlert_Email methods:

1. CCMS_OnAlert_Email for high priority alerts that will page and email when alert is triggered.2. Z_CCMS_OnALert_Email Low Priority for low priority alerts that will only email when alert is triggered.


Assigning Method (RZ20) Select the Monitor to add Auto_Reaction Method by clicking once on it.

Click Properties.


Assigning Method (RZ20) Select PerformanceAttribute Tab

For Monitors that have Thresholds- adjust to desired levels.


Assigning Method (RZ20) Select Methods Tab

Click Method Assignment


Assigning Method (RZ20) Select Auto-Reaction tab

Click the Display Change button

Select the Method name radio button


Select the drop down menu button Select the CCMS_OnAlert_Email method or one copied/created earlier.

Click Save Assigning Method (RZ20)


Assigning Method (RZ20)Exit out to CCMS Monitoring tree.

Select Monitor again

Click View from Menu

Select Method allocationCCMS_OnAlert_Email should show up assigned to Monitor.


To allow an auto-reaction to be executed in the central monitoring systems for alerts from remote systems central system dispatching must be activated.

Central system dispatching is performed by the job SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER.

Choose Technical Infrastructure Method Execution Activate Central System Dispatching.Activate CCMS jobs (RZ21)


Activate CCMS jobs (RZ21) So that all data collection methods are started correctly, background dispatching must be activated. It starts all data collection methods that are executed periodically in the background process (as Background dispatching is performed by the job

SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP. By default, the job runs once an hour.Choose Technical Infrastructure Local Method Execution Activate Background Dispatching.
