summit pavilionravine based sitedesign must allow attendees connect and be part of the natural environment open air when possible.responsive to the major site features(first few iterations should be gestural to develop general responses to the site and functional spaces)

Page 11: CCSF Transfer Portfolio

Activities:1. Gathering place for all attendees (30)2. Two break-out discussion places3. Private contemplation

4. Two unisex restrooms5. Storage room

Above iteration highlights gestural flow across the ravine, creating destinations on both sides of the ravine, ignoring impications of building within the ravine which is challenged in following iterations. Destinations act as main gathering locations for users.

the Embarcadero and Green St.Design an America’s Cup Pavilion on the Embarcadero across from the new Exploratorium, currently under construction.

In order to bring local flavor to honor the roots of the importance of the Chinese culture and history of San Francisco, and to help anchor the northern edge of the America’s Cup development, create a structure to house the “Free China” junk.
