Rnd 4: Join 4th color with sl st in fastened-off st of previous rnd, ch 3, fpdc around fpdc, 2 dc in next dc, [dc in each of next 2 sts, fpdc around fpdc, 2 dc in next st] around, dc in last st, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off.

cOASTER BAck

Make 2 with A & 1 each with B, C & D.Rnds 1–4: Working with 1 color, rep rnds 1–4 of Coaster Front. Fasten off at end of last rnd.

JOiNiNG

Rnd 5: Holding 1 each Coaster Front and Back with WS tog with CD sandwiched between, with Coaster Front facing, working through both thick-nesses, join A with sl st, ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off.

BASkET

Rnd 1: Using 5th Coaster (see Pattern Notes), join B with sl st in any st directly to the left of fpdc on Coaster, ch 3, dc in each of next 3 sts, fptr (see Stitch Guide) around next fpdc on bot-tom of Coaster, [dc in each of next 4 sts, fptr around next fpdc on bottom of Coaster] around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.

Rnd 2: Sl st around back post of st, ch 3, fpdc around each of next 2 sts, bpdc (see Stitch Guide) around next dc, fptr around fptr, [bpdc around next st, fpdc around each of next 2 sts, bpdc around next st, fptr around next fptr] around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off.

Rnd 3: Join A in same st as joining, ch 1, sc in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off.

Rnd 4: Join C in first bpdc after any fptr st, ch 3, dc in each of next 3 sts, fptr around fptr 2 rnds below, [dc in each of next 4 sts, fptr around fptr 2 rnds below] around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
