BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Forensic Odontology, or forensic dentistry is that branch of forensic medicine which in the interest of justice deals with the proper handling and examination of dental evidence and with the proper evaluation and presentation of the dental findings. (K Neilson 1971) This branch has grown leaps and bounds over the years given the amount of scientific research being done in this field. Advances in Forensic Odontology have led to improvements in identification in individual cases as well as in disasters. The emphasis of this scientific congregation is on “Evidence to Conclusion”. Organizing committee hopes that the scientific deliberations in this one day program will provide the delegates with in depth knowledge into this field and let diverse branches of dentistry adopt the practice of Forensic Odontology.

NATURE OF PARTCIPANTS: Any Faculty / P.G. student from dentistry.
