The use of the colours is very important, because they are linked to the meaning of the song. As the song is categorised as a love song to reinforce that suggestion, the designer colours the colours of pink, red and purple such are colours that one would associate with love, as love is to be described to be pretty , girly and beautiful and these colours are represented as that,

In the left cover locates the mane of the artist and the name of the song.

From this cover the name of the artist and the song name are located to the bottom centre of the single. Unlike the Bruno Mars cover the title is presented to the consumer much bolder in terms of the font and by being in that specific location stands-out more to the consumer .

The designer has used the art technic of pixilation to form the face of a women, which emphasise the meaning of the song as he singer about how beautiful his girlfriend is.

By using the pretty colours of pink, red and purple to from the women's the designer is truly trying to express how beautiful this women is

Because , the song is a metaphorical song about the rapper courting his ideal girl and picking love over hatred The designer has painted the metaphor by attaching an old fashion stereo system to a human heart.

The blend of colours in the fore ground stand out from the central image.

As the common is that the heart is located in the middle of out chest, by placing the ‘stereo heart’ in the centre the Cd cover is portraying the human chest.

This CD cover is ‘Only by the night’, by American rock band Kings of Leon.

The dark tone reinforce the name of the album. Only by the night -and the designer emphasises the word ‘night’ with the cover creating the night atmosphere.

One of the images used that blends and merges with the members of the band is the eyes of an animal which is suggested to be an owl due to the title of the album cover, and the owl is an nocturnal animals which is only seen at ‘night’.

These are another of the unique design arrangement of the cover.

The use of the colour contrast from the grey shade to the black links very well with the name of the album Good girl gone bad , ‘bad’ is usually associated with wickedness or evil or darkness and the black represents that.

To ,make the artist name stand-out then the background is dark, the teal colour brings out the name ‘Rihanna’ which may reflects why the album name is in small font, for the’ Rihanna’ to stand out.
