The same has been proven true by the pioneering personalities of Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Research. As an enthusiastic and dynamic socialist Shri Ramanbhai Sukhabhai Patel, Chairman, Shri Khedut Sahakari Khand Udyog Mandali Ltd., Bardoli, took an encouraging step, in the direction of success by establishing a Centre for Excellence known as “FACULTY OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH (FETR)” in the year 2010. The institute is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmadabad.

DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING

Computer Engineering Department has been established in the year 2010 with a vision to prepare technocrats in the field of Software, Hardware and Networks. It is equipped with necessary infrastructure and learning facilities. Department is also recognized by MHRD & IIT, Mumbai for the resource centre for Spoken tutorial. Faculty members are dedicated to improve quality education in the field of Computer Science Engineering and active in research & development work to cope with current market trends & technologies. Recently department has been recognized as “Centre of Excellence for Network” by well reputed IT Company D-Link. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Department has signed M. O. U. with D-Link for D-Link Academy - An authorized Training Centre for

D-Link certified Network Engineers.

Department has signed M. O. U. with Oracle Academy in association with Gujarat Technological

University to increase the relevance of academic programs.

Department is running out academic interface programs like ”IBM Academic Initiative"& ”TCS-AIP"

Open Source Technology Club to spreading out Awareness of “Open Source Softwares” in association

with IIT, Bombay.

“Mobile and Wireless Technology Club” to spreading awareness of Mobile development in the era of

Wireless Communication in association with G.T.U.

IBM Academic Alliance program to professionalized Faculties of CS&E, FETR

LABORATORY INFRASTRUCTURE: Laboratories are outfitted with high performance computers with latest configurations. The department has developed a computer center with 181 Nos. of computer connected in LAN with 10 mbps (Lease Line) internet connectivity and latest licensed applications & system software. The department has developed 8 laboratories like Open Source Technology Lab, System Software Lab, UNIX Lab, Network & Cloud Lab, Programming Lab, Project Lab, R&D Lab.
