Thanks to Jeff Ricker and several other Knights we will be holding our annual Pumpkin Sale at St Pat’s the weekend of October 13/14. We need several Knights after each Mass that weekend to help sell the orange orbs. We hope to sell outside both the north and south doors this year. Please plan on helping us out Saturday October 13th and/or Sunday October 14th.

Mark your calendars because our annual Turkey Bingo event will be held Saturday evening November 10th, immediately following the 5:00 Mass. We’ll play 20 games with every winner, even multiple winners, getting a10-12 lb frozen turkey. Cost is 25¢ per card per game so for a mere $20 your family can play 4 cards all night. So, plan on attending. Invite your family and neighbors too.

CountryFest Car ShowOur annual Classic Car Show was a huge success this year thanks to Bob and Rita Peichel’s efforts. They attended multiple car shows on multiple weekends around the north metro passing out flyers for our show. It paid off with a record 132 cars registering at our show and filling the south parking lot on Sunday September 9th. Thank you to all of you that volunteered directing traffic and working the registration table.CountryFest Corn BoothThank you to all the guys that worked the corn booth selling roosted corn on the cob during CountryFest. Thank you Clay Dehaan and Paul Teicher for organizing the workers and spending the weekend tending the charcoal grill and roasting 120 dozen ears. A special thank you to Mark Landwehr, Jerry Reiter and Greg Walters for donating all the corn again this year.CountryFest Pork Chops

Thank you Mark Landwehr for donating the pork chops for the new pork chop booth. Thank you Mark Rohr for spending the weekend working over a hot grill and cooking over 300 pork chops which were sold out.

There is a new feature in your monthly Columbia magazine call the “Supreme Champlain’s Challenge”. Our Supreme Chaplain Archbishop William Lori will issue practical challenges to Knights (and other readers) designed to help us learn our faith, grow in our faith and live our faith. You’ll find the monthly challenge around page 5 in the Columbia magazine. It starts with a Gospel reading followed by the Archbishop relating the reading to today’s life and then the challenge. The challenges so far have been simple things we can do to improve ourselves. Please take a look at these and consider taking the challenge.Denny BehmDistrict Deputy 42Knights of ColumbusHome: (763) 434-7097

Free Firewood AvailableBrother Knight Paul Neumann has stopped heating with firewood but he has several oak trees down, ready to be cut and split. 5th Annual Pro-Life Banquet Oct 26Brother Knights, our annual pro-life banquet is scheduled for Friday October 26th at St. Patrick’s great hall. Doors open at 6:00 pm with dinner served at 6:50 pm. In order for us to help defeat abortion, it is critical that we attend this banquet and support our Pregnancy Resource Centers. Remember, the banquet is FREE to all attendees but you are asked to make a donation to support the PRC. Bring your checkbook or credit card to do this. This is for ADULTS ONLY. Please pick-up a table registration form in the gathering area and invite relatives, friends and neighbors to help fill your table. There are two other banquets on October 23rd and 25th that you can attend if you can’t make St. Patrick’s. If you have any questions, please contact Terry Rhodes at 763-234-3045.
