Greetings and Salutations,
I am applying for a Managerial/Project Management Position within your company. I have recently finished my Masters in Business Administration at Andrews University. I am extremely passionate about business, the arts, and travel, and I am motivated by what the future holds in these areas. I am an incredibly hard worker, motivated, dedicated, a quick learner, a go-getter, and a team player with an easy-going personality. I am confident that my skills are useful to any positions you may have available.
In my most recent position, I worked as an assistant building manager, constructing newer, larger photo studios, building maintenance, product shooting and retouching, some photo assisting, printer and camera maintenance, as well as micro-management of studios, stock control and inventory.
Prior to that I had a thirteen-year military career where I had the phenomenal pleasure working and gaining experiences from a wide range of duties in a global context. Although this post was complex and encompassed a multiplicity of roles, many of the skills I gained from this career are applicable to a managerial and team position. My responsibilities included outlining the scope of projects and collaborating with senior management to create detailed work plans that identified resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) and the activities required to successfully complete the project.
To do this, I recruited and managed staff with appropriate skills for the project, ensuring personnel files were properly maintained and kept confidential, as well as providing adequate orientation and training for the task at hand. In addition to my primary role as a supervisor, much of this included administration, such as: developing forms and records to document project activities, setting up files to assure project information was appropriately documented and secured, monitoring the progress of the project and making adjustments as necessary to guarantee the successful completion of the project, periodically reviewing the quality of the work completed with the project team and providing constructive feedback with the aim for success.
Finally, I took on a financial role, monitoring and approving all budgeted project expenditures, cash flow, keeping all financial records up to date, and keeping communication open with senior management by writing reports detailing the project’s progression.
As you can hopefully see from my previous experience, I am more than capable of taking on a leadership position and have a lot to offer your

company. I am passionate, and I don’t stop until the job is done. I have an acute eye for detail, and a low tolerance for imperfection. I am more than ready to handle any challenges thrown my way, and I am excited to apply for a position within your amazing organization. Thank you for taking the time to review my application, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Cedric Hinds
OBJECTIVERecent MBA graduate with a 13-year military background, seeking continued experience in project management/ production management using organizational, administrative, and leadership skills. I possess extensive work experience in the global market that has given me essential professional skills that can translate in contributing to any type of work environment and community.
RELATED ACCOMPLISHMENTSSupply Chain/Logistics
13 years of professional supply chain/logistics management Coordinated with head management on inventory accountability. Through collaboration with other
companies and countries, ensured 100% documentation accuracy and recouped $200K in material costs, ultimately saving millions of dollars.
International Business and Cultural Experience By forging international relationships, my organization and I were able to lead both the host and home
countries to economic growth estimated at more than $700 million annually. In times of misalliances, I learned that renegotiation and at times contract revision were necessary in coming
to an agreement that not only satisfied both parties, but benefited them as well, while keeping the organization’s goals in mind. Doing so taught me how to relate to and understand our nation’s differences with another’s, and weld those differences into a beneficial partnership, giving me a global perspective on negotiation.
Thought Leadership Upon the discovery of inefficient data analysis, I created an accountability program, which resulted in
profitable and productive asset control. As an asset manager, I detected weak spots within our confidential accounting system that allowed for
potential pilfering, and therefore took measures to provide security for our assets, leading to 100% efficiency of products.
