NW 505-899-5417 [email protected] From the President Here we are at the beginning of April, and wow, has the world changed since Januarys Annual PGHOA meeng! First off, the Board wishes everyone to stay healthy and safe! Secondly, if anyone needs assis- tance during this me for supplies, or any need at all, please contact a Board member. We will gladly assist. A couple of Board members have already checked in on some of the residents. This is exactly what it means to be part of a small community such as ours! Very grateful! OKon to some PGHOA business. Teresa Stevens has stepped down from the Board aſter serving unselfishly for many years. Teresa is going to remain, along with her husband, Bob, on the Welcome Commiee. Thank you, Teresa! With that, we were able, through some hard convincing of how much fun we have on the Boardand the great benefits (ha ha), to ence Dick and Karen Barre, and Jennifer Geist to join the Board. Jennifer will serve as Secretary and is responsible for this newsleer! Thank you all for your willingness to step up to keep the PGHOA what it is. Without volunteers such as yourselves, we would have to hire a management company, and our reasonable annual dues would turn into high monthly dues. We definitely do not want this to happen. Every year at the annual meeng, we seek new Board members, so please, please consider helping out. Terms are for two years, and we have two members with expiring terms at the end of 2020. Last year New Mexico passed new legislaon with regards to HOA requirements. In summary, we will now have to have an independent accountant review our financial statements once every three years. The Board is in the process of locang a CPA to perform this task, and it is our intent to comply. Another aspect of this new legislaon requires a formal review process for all viola- ons, ACC requests, etc. We currently have a process in place, but will be detailing it. In addion, we plan to have the process reviewed by an aorney to make sure we are complying with the new legislaon. Unfortunately, the intent of these new regulaons is geared more towards larger HOA communies that are managed via management companies, but we sll need to comply. We hope to have this in place by the end of the year. The intent in January was to bring back the Summer Block Party in August. Hopefully that will sll connue. Please watch for emails and bullens for updates. On a very serious note, these are unprecedented mes: the news that school has been cancelled for the remainder of the year, people working from home, and people not working at all. More than ever, we need to heed the call to look out for our neighbors. The great benefit of living in Paradise Greens is that we are a close-knit community, and with that comes great residents that are always looking out for each other. From the President

Here we are at the beginning of April, and wow, has the world changed since January’s Annual

PGHOA meeting!

First off, the Board wishes everyone to stay healthy and safe! Secondly, if anyone needs assis-

tance during this time for supplies, or any need at all, please contact a Board member. We will

gladly assist. A couple of Board members have already checked in on some of the residents. This

is exactly what it means to be part of a small community such as ours! Very grateful!

OK… on to some PGHOA business.

Teresa Stevens has stepped down from the Board after serving unselfishly for many years. Teresa

is going to remain, along with her husband, Bob, on the Welcome Committee. Thank you, Teresa!

Reminder from your ACC Committee: Please request permission to do ANY improvement/addition to

the exterior of your home or landscaping during the PLANNING STAGES of your projects. You can

reach Jim, Nate and Sally at: [email protected] to get the process started.

First quarter approvals: Installation of shed in backyard and change of trim color, two re-roofs and

trims, and removal of bush from front yard.

The ACC continues to be friendly and efficient with homeowners’ requests, often responding within 24
