“Leaving Iowa”, is a superb play that will leave you appreciative of the ordinary experiences of life. Don returns home and ends up taking a journey to find the final resting place for his father’s ashes. A son who longed to get away from Winterset, Iowa, only to come back and appreciate the wonderful and sometimes torturous family vacations.

Cow Patty BingoNoon until the cow patty drops in City Park, in the outfield of the east

ball diamondYou’re invited to watch a culturally entertaining and profitable

performance, as a cow struts it’s stuff on a field for all to see. Where the patty will land, no one knows, but when it does, a lucky player will win $2,000 and four other square numbers will be drawn at random to win $125 each. Square numbers available at the SCDC office or by calling 324-3772.

Our 2013 parade Grand Marshal is the 2012 Village Panthers softball team. The 12 member team traveled to

Oklahoma to participate in the 2012 Special Olympics North America softball invitational tournament where they defeated

Mississippi to gain a silver medal.
