Maintaining Homeostasis• Get energy from food

• Plant Cells – Photosynthesis to make sugar then the Mitochondria to convert the sugar to energy

• Animal Cells – Get sugar from the food we eat then the Mitochondria to convert the sugar to energy

• Exchange material into and out of the cell via cell membrane• Bring in nutrients and oxygen • Get rid of wastes

• removed carbon dioxide from cell after cellular respiration• Removed unwanted or unneeded chemicals

• Cell Division • Growth and Repair
