Company profile

Cellnetrix is focused on embedded software development for smart cards and secure devices as well as professional services and technical consultancy

Core element of Cellnetrix's product strategy is licensing of its smart card software to a wide spectrum of other industry players, primarily, to silicon and smart card manufacturers

The main focus has been on a range of mid-to-high-end 3G UICC USIM/R-UIM solutions which serve as a platform for additional applications

Engineering staff of the company exceeded 10 engineers by the end of 2009

To date, Cellnetrix has more than 35 customers world-wide

Cellnetrix operates world-wide and provides support by phone, e-mail or on-line to customers in North America, Europe, Middle East and South-East Asia

Software and services provided by Cellnetrix are based on open technologies and standards such as OMA, ETSI, 3GPP, ISO, Global platform and active use of Java technologies.

Main milestones

• 2006. Cellnetrix was established by several smart card experts as a consulting company focused on the development of solutions based on (U)SIM cards and related professional services.

• 2007. In order to address global markets Cellnetrix opened an office in Hamburg, Germany. Company gets an international status with an office in Germany.

• 2008. After successful completion of several smart card projects Cellnetrix Technology, a dedicated R&D center was established , and the company concentrated on secure embedded solutions based on such standards as Java Card, Global Platform and ETSI UICC

• 2009. Cellnetrix released CellSIM OS, a smart card UICC-based operating system freely licensable and easily customizable to particular hardware or product requirements and supporting Java Card 2.2 standards.

2011 Nuremberg based MaskTech Group, a leading independent provider of highly secure embedded products, finalized a stake acquisition in Cellnetrix Technology to become the largest shareholder of the company.

2012 .Today we deliver our customers: silicon and hardware manufacturers,

telecom operators, software vendors and services providers, secure

embedded software solutions based on internal know-how and experience.

Some facts about MaskTech

Founded in 2002 as part of a management buyout from the former largest contactless card and inlay manufacturer by security, RFID and computer science specialists.

The engineering team has security and RFID experience since 1990 and has set up a profound knowledge in those areas.

Masktech became one of leading independent suppliers for highest security embedded chipsets, operating systems and related middleware for electronic identification applications

The company supplies more than 15 major passport manufacturers and system integrators and holds a leading position in all of its primary product categories.

Products are used in more than 40 countries worldwide. The company has 2 representations both in Germany and joint-venture in Russia, Cellnetrix Technology LLC

Products are available CC EAL4+ certified on 3 different semiconductor manufacturer high security microcontrollers, all at least CC EAL5+ certified and resistant to state of the art attack scenarios.

Smart card software solutions

Secure embedded operating system for smart-cards and secure network-

connected devices

Cellnetrix provides its technology based on in-house designed component-oriented UICC-

platform which implements Java Card 2.2.1 and ETSI specifications and fully supports the

product development processes at different stages such as product conceptualization,

implementation, testing and delivery. Operating system can be ported onto a number of

16/32 bit platforms or used in any Java Card environment.

Cellnetrix implements customized applications based on available

prototypes, which give customers an opportunity to cope with technical

CellSIM OS: UICC-based smart card operating system

Software development for smart cards and secure network-connected devices is one of the

main specializations of Cellnetrix.

CellSIM is a component-oriented high-performance smart card operating system

targeted for various telecom and internet applications fully compatible with the most

international and industry standards such as ISO, Sun, Global platform, 3GPP and ETSI.

Overview: CellSIM is used internally as a reference and test platform for the smart card applications

and can be also licensed either in a binary form or alternatively with a full source code of the

complete system or of the chosen components only.

Targeted as a firmware for subscriber identity devices and based on the widely adopted

UICC standards, CellSIM covers a broad range of telecom and internet applications such as

(U)SIM, secure tokens, TPM.

CellSIM provides unprecedentedly high level of customization, much more than any ROM-

based product, at the same time, reducing time to market for completely new configuration.
