Instructor Information !

Andrea Beaton, energetic and spirited fiddler from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, won the East Coast Music Association 2010 Instrumental Recording of the Year for her CD, “Branches.” Andrea comes from an extensive family of great Cape Breton fiddlers. andreabeaton.com.

Aria DiSalvaio has held the position of lead cellist in the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers, led by master Scottish Fiddler, Alasdair Fraser, and has taught at Sierra Fiddle Camp and The Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School.

William Coulter from Santa Cruz has been performing and recording traditional music for over 20 years. In 2005 he was awarded a Grammy for his contribution to The Pink Guitar, a collection of solo guitar arrangements of the music of Henry Mancini.

10:00-12:00 ~ Workshops for Intermediate to Advanced Fiddlers, Cellists and Guitarists – One class for each instrument – Tunes will be taught by ear.

12:00-1:30 ~ Lunch with Instructors 1:30-3:30 ~ “Jam with the Band” everybody plays together with the instructors; tunes

learned in the morning plus more. 7:30 p.m. ~ Concert (Concert will include workshop participants.)!
