Owned and run by the Celtic Manor resort and situated only a short drive from the resort itself, the Newbridge on usk is a delightful country inn occupying an idyllic location on the banks of the river usk.Owing to its fabulous setting, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy fly, spin and bait fishing at a nearby spot on the River Usk. Synonymous with some of the best salmon and trout fishing outside of Scotland, an experienced Ghillie will guide you in the skills required to fish this dramatic tidal river.

The season runs from 3rd March to 17th October each year and during the ‘Catch & Keep’ season the restaurant’s chefs will prepare and cook your fish so that you can enjoy your own catch for lunch or dinner.

Britain’s round of the 2012 World rally Championship, Wales rally GB, will take place this year from 13th – 16th september, with an all new special stage at the Celtic Manor resort on Saturday 15th September.

This short but spectacular asphalt spectator special stage to be held on Saturday evening is around 3km long, with really good viewing areas on a grassy bank overlooking the stage making this a must see event for the whole family as well as dedicated rally enthusiasts.
