Handwriting HeavenFor boys and girls rising in grades K - 2

Students will learn the correct way to hold a pencil and crayons for maximum control. We will use a variety of activities approved by occupational therapists (trained in Handwriting Without Tears) that will strengthen these muscles and help them practice in fun ways. Students will have a snack and take home a special pencil grip, along with photos of correct posture, grip options, and activities that can be practiced at home.

The World of Harry PotterFor boys and girls rising in grades 2 - 8

Do you love all things Harry Potter? Come spend a fun-filled week with activities related to the Harry Potter books. Your week will begin with a choosing ceremony followed by creating crests and drinking butter beer. The week will also include house competitions and crafts as well as acting out different scenes from the Harry Potter books. Friday will conclude with awarding the House Cup.

Fourth Grade Summer Reading Book ClubFor boys and girls rising in 4th grade

Let’s grab some friends and Lunch Money, one of your summer reading books, and have a page-turner of a good time! Go on an adventure with character Greg Kenton and learn that any child with a passion can make things happen! Come with the first 7 chapters already read so we can dig right in on Monday. Throughout the week, we will finish reading the book, discuss, and work through your required book report that will be due in August. Then, you can check your book report off your summer to-do list! Lastly, we plan to incorporate cursive writing, and other fourth grade fundamentals into our week so you can feel ready to start a new school year!

Fun games, recreation, and skill drills will help students focus on proper techniques and introduce the rules of the game. Campers will be exposed to a sport they can enjoy competitively or recreationally for the rest of their lives. Campers must bring a racquet, water bottle, and wear sunscreen. Snack provided.

Want to be coached by the only US Youth Futsal National Academy in Georgia? Southern Futsal is proud to announce the FIRST ever Futsal Summer Camp taking place in Macon this summer. If you are interested in your child’s development as a soccer player, then Futsal is the game for your family. This is the game that produced Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Ronaldinho, and Xavi, who are recognized as the world’s best soccer players due to their technique and skill. Futsal allows each player to make more decisions than they would in the outdoor game. Calling all artists to come create! We will get dirty and have fun doing so as we use various materials, try some crazy techniques, and produce some AWESOME pieces! We will also go to the playground and eat lunch together. All campers should bring a lunch with them each day.

Experience traditional ballet and contemporary “pop” dance, as we combine a variety of dance styles such as jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. Campers will rotate between the traditional and pop class with lots of time for games, songs, dress-up activities, and recreational time. Summer Stock Theatre ExperienceFor boys and girls rising in grades 6 - 12

Actors often break into professional careers through working at “summer stocks” - regional theatres that produce numerous full-scale productions in a very short amount of time. Experience the energy and excitement of staging, designing, and performing a full-scale theatre production in just one week! Led by Dr. Strickland, a veteran director and actor at summer stock theatres, camp participants will get a true taste of what it takes to make outstanding theatre magic quickly!
