through out the State and threshing is well in hand The acreage is short and the crop reported generally thin but the head filled well and the grain Is ex- ceptionally ¬ good There is some little damage by mould caused by frequent showers while in shock The oat cro is below the standard having headed too low on account of the dry weather 1 June Rye is fairly good just a little below an average The corn crop is a little late but has been wel worked and gives promise of a full crop Some hemp has gotten out of the way of the cut worm it and doing fairly well Barley is reported below an average The acreage of tobacco especially in the western or dark district is consid erably reduced Much of the planting all over the State ws done so late that it will require an exceptional ly good season to insure maturity in time to make a good quality Mead- ows pastures and clover are reported in fair condition The acreage in stock peas is less than an average on ac- count of high prices of seed There will be a full potato crop both in acre- age and condition Live stock of all kinds is reported in good condition The apple and peach crops are report- ed aoout one half of a full crop A continue to
