Disco
Disco is rising in popularity! Dancing at disco clubs is the going crazy and everyone who is anybody is doing it! Disco originated from Paris during the time of World War II. Disco was created when the Nazis occupied Paris and they closed down the nightclubs. This retaliated a reaction in people. They began meeting in cellars and forming their own clubs, even though it was illegal. One of these venues was named La Discotheque and the name stuck. Disco: nightclubs that play recorded music and not live music. Next time you go down to the disco, listen out for these classic disco songs: • Ain’t Gonna Bump No More with No Big Fat Women • Disco Duck
And listen out for these artists: • The Bee Gees • The Village People

Should Sport Mix with Politics?
When The South African rugby tour came to Australia in 1971, we saw a
huge protest arise and this became a huge crisis for Australia as we weren’t accustomed by the South African government’s policies. When
this happened an uprising of debating rose in Australia and all over the world about if Sport and Politics should mix together. Many different events happened and we leave the question to you as the public: Should
Sport and Politics Mix?
By simply submitting a response to our headquarters we will have the results in the next issue.
So many people should get out there because it’s an amazing world and artists are taking that to their advantage. We are separating ourselves a bit from the British art and moving on to making new art and innovation. An art expedition, ‘It’s a Colourful World’, using the land and environmental aspects will be held on the 24th of August 1972. It will be split into 3 sections in different locations around the City. Section 1: There will be numerous places with land art and there will be sculptures involving and made out of the land itself. This gives us a chance to get out of the art gallery and museums
and go outside and embrace the beauty of nature. The expedition will also have many abstract sculptures that tie in with the land and bring it out. Section 2: A gallery of pop art and performance art, which will have over 150 artworks displayed. This is a fun lively sections were there will be bright colours and exciting new faces as most of these artworks have never been seen before and have been especially made for the expedition.
Section 3: In the last section we are proud to announce that we have made one long wall that will be covered in many different graffiti artworks.

Sport or Business? It’s become clear that after Channel Nine offered
cricketers a lot of money to play in the World Series cricket. This sparked the idea of turning sport into a way
of making money and now a growing population of Australians wants to change their talents into money.
There are many marketing schemes going on to publicize in specific, cricketers, and they are making a lot of
money just out of people wanting them to play for them.
