Healthcare Industry Prospectus
ANZCA ASM International Convention Centre, SydneyMay 7-11, 2018
Dear Colleagues,It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in 2018 for the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) and the Faculty of Pain Medicine Refresher Course Day at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC), Darling Harbour.
The 2018 meeting will be held in collaboration with the Annual Scientific Congress (ASC) of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS); building on the resounding success of the inaugural combined 2014 meeting held in Singapore which attracted over 4500 delegates across both colleges.
This meeting will run from May 7-11, 2018 with the exhibition running from May 8-11, 2018 and promises to showcase the best of the specialties of anaesthesia, surgery and pain medicine at the newly opened “six star” ICC Sydney.
The theme of the meeting, “Reflecting on what really matters”, is pertinent and timely as there have been significant advancements over the last decade in surgical techniques, anaesthetic management and, importantly, perioperative care resulting in improved patient care and clinical outcomes. Pain medicine and the management of pain increasingly grows in importance and recognition as we live longer and value an improved quality of life.
The 2018 ASM promises a week of stimulating lectures, combined plenaries, small group discussions and workshops that will canvas all aspects of surgery, anaesthesia and perioperative care in addition to complementary lifestyle-related themes/streams that will benefit the interests of all delegates.
The healthcare industry plays an important role in supporting research and development, education and collaborations. Years of cooperation between colleges and the healthcare industry, using online communication, state of the art technology and equipment, as well as showcasing the skills of internationally recognised clinical leaders, has established both ANZCA’s ASM and RAC’s ASC as the pre-eminent meetings of their kind in Australasia.
Sydney, Australia’s premier tourist destination, is the perfect setting for such a prestigious meeting. With the harbor and nearby beaches reflecting the beauty of our iconic attractions, the meeting will undoubtedly attract significant numbers of overseas and interstate delegates. Magnifying the appeal of this meeting will be the incredible, state-of-the-art International Convention Centre Sydney, conveniently located in the vibrant Darling Harbour precinct and purpose-built to impress all conference participants and healthcare industry exhibitors.
“Reflecting” presents a magnificent opportunity for the healthcare industry to engage and interact with a vast Australasian and international audience of committed delegates and clinicians in a setting that is conducive to thoughtful musings.
With such a unique meeting, and being the first anaesthetic or surgical meeting at the brand new ICC Sydney, we are expecting to attract a record number of delegates. With a co-located exhibition space and an extensive workshop program you can be assured of unparalleled access to delegates onsite as well as a proactive communication and marketing campaign leading to, during, and post the meeting.
On behalf of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists the 2018 regional organising committee warmly invites you to be part of this fantastic meeting and look forward to seeing you in Sydney in 2018.

ANZCA ASM 2018
Why should you sponsor the ANZCA ASM 2018?ANZCA ASM 2018 provides a unique educational environment dedicated to the exchange of up-to date (cutting-edge and world-leading) scientific research, training, and the opportunity to share and exchange ideas with those people most skilled in the use of your products.
If anaesthetists, intensivists, pain medicine specialists, trainees and allied medical personnel are part of your target market there is no better way to reach all of them at one meeting than by supporting the ANZCA ASM 2018.
The key benefits of sponsorship include:
• The opportunity to promote your name, to support your brands and to maintain a high profile among specialists before, during, and after the event.
• ASM delegates are keen to improve their scientific, technical, and educational knowledge. Aligning your company with this comprehensive educational experience demonstrates your commitment to assisting their professional development and further education.
• An opportunity to consolidate corporate relationships and expose your staff to their key markets.
• Interacting with delegates face-to-face during morning and afternoon tea breaks, lunch time and the healthcare industry cocktail reception.
• Benefiting significantly from exposure to a keenly interested, relevant and, above all, influential audience in an educational environment away from the competition of every day distractions.
• Contributing to the promotion, planning and operation of the meeting reduces the overall cost of managing and staging the event enabling a higher level of participation by delegates and an increase in delegate numbers.
• An increase in online exposure through the ASM’s embracing of new communication forums, including online education sites, social media, the Virtual ASM and the dedicated ASM website.
The ANZCA ASM 2018 sponsorship team would be delighted to meet with you to discuss these opportunities and to hear your suggestions for promoting your products or services.
Early confirmation of your sponsorship of the meeting will ensure an even higher level of exposure. An extensive promotional campaign including advertisements, direct mail campaigns, email broadcasts and web exposure will be implemented in the lead up to ANZCA ASM 2018 and the opportunity exists for your company to be represented as a key supporter of the meeting well in advance of the actual dates.
