With our anniversary year of events drawing to a close over the next few months it is time to look forward to 2017, and there are several changes to tell you about.

Firstly, if you have purchased a ticket in 2016 you will have received a complimentary A-Lister membership, providing you with exemption of the new ticketing transaction fees. From January 2017 you will needs to purchase a membership to continue to enjoy those benefits. Full details on the 2017 A-Lister membership packages will be available soon.

For those who do not take up the offer of an A-Lister membership at SEC, the following transaction fees will apply from January 2017:

For print at home tickets there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per transaction. For printed tickets collected from the box office the additional charge will be $2.50 per transaction. If you would like your tickets mailed to you the cost will rise to $3.50 per transaction.

We will also soon be launching our official program of 2017, which will include even more events than this year and a much more flexible subscription offer. Subscribers will be able to choose shows from any genre and combine them in a subscription, with greater discounts accruing for the higher number of shows.

There will also be a new-look Centrestage newsletter in 2017.

Before then, however, there are great experiences to be had at SEC in the coming months, including the international smash comedy play An Evening with Groucho, by demand return performances from local superstar Mark Vincent, violinist Ian Cooper and the Russian Ballet for two shows including a matinee. Your orchestra will present their annual Christmas Concert and Miranda Musical Society present a fantastic new musical Young Frankenstein. What a superb way to end the year.
