Ceramic Fibre Blanket is a lightweight, flexible needledblanket made form spun fiberfrax ceramic fibres.

The extra long spun fibres make one of the strongest blanketsin the fiberfrax product line. Ceramic Fibre Blanket iscompletely inorganic. Ceramic Fibre Blanket is a highstrength, low shrinkage, highly resilient insulator with low heatstorage oapacity and complete resistance to thermal shock. Itis unaffected by most chemicals except hydrofluoric andphosphotic acids and concentrated alkalis. If wet by water orsteam, thermal and physical properties remain unaffectedafter drying.

General CharacteristicsCeramic Fibre Blanket has these outstanding characteristics:• High tensile strength Chemical analysis (Wt.%)• Low shrinkage SiO2 56.0 – 58.0• Excellent hot strength AI2O3 42.0 – 44.0• High resiliency Alkalis <0.25• Low thermal conductivity Fe2O3<0.1• Low thermal capacity TiO2 <0.05• Resistance to thermal shock• Good sound absorption• High heat reflectance

Fire Test DataCeramic Fibre Blanket is non combustable in accordance withBS476:p14 and is approved for use against cellulosic andhydrocarbon fires and for dry wrapping of structural steel.Certification details can be supplied on request.
