Signal registration – Detector bus / Detection line
The control unit registers signals from automatic fire detectors, manual call points and
input modules via detector bus or detection line and carries out decentralized control
functions via output modules.
All three detector systems can be connected to the CS1140 system.
Series DS1150 Interactive fire detectors have a unique evaluating and decision logic based on algo4
rithms. They provide the highest level of detection reliability and differentiate clearly
between genuine fire and deceptive phenomena.
Series DS1130 AnalogPLUS is an addressable detector system in which detector sensitivity can be
selected centrally. Intelligent signal evaluation (alarm verification, comparison and
evaluation of signals from several detectors).
Series DS1100 Collective fire detectors with traditional technology for communication and signal eval4
uation (one address per detection line, only alarm signal). The detectors have the
same first4class sensor system as the other DS11 detectors.
Furthermore, it is possible to integrate existing parts of systems with detectors from
series MS6, MS7, MS9 and MS24.
MS7i, MS9i These addressable detection lines can be integrated as parts of existing systems.
Evaluation – Alarm – Operation – Control
Parameterization The modification of control unit organization to changed customers’ requirements is no
problem.
Control outputs Freely programmable control outputs are available for fire control installations. Driver
and�/�or relay outputs as required.
Real time clock Automatic summer�/�winter switchover by means of an integrated real time clock. With
its own emergency power supply.
Event memory Up to 1000 events can be arranged, stored and recalled chronologically and accord4
ing to message category.
Emergency operation Emergency operation functions are integrated in the important function modules.
As a result, the system can continue to signal fire even if a component malfunctions.
Extinguishing activation An extinguishing section can be activated via the EExtinguishing" control module.
Several extinguishing sections can be activated from one control unit.
System flexibility The structure of the C4Bus network permits the connection of several control units and
control consoles. These stations can be mounted in the same housing or in separate
housings. The location is chosen according to where it is easiest for operation or
installation.
However, the fire detection system can be extended even further. Several C4Bus net4
works can be combined to a danger management system by means of the data link
ECerloop/Cerban".

Illuminated keys enable clear, guided operation even in an emergency.
Function and recall commands which cannot be carried out by means of separate
keys, can be selected using menus accessed via plain text display.
Operating access is via password or key.
Illuminated alarm panel (1) When an alarm event is received the red text EALARM �" lights up.
Plain language display (2) Automatic plain text information on events, event location, counter4measures as well
as operating mode and operator infos is displayed on the large liquid crystal display
(LCD).
The LCD background lights up red for alarm and yellow for fault and operating
functions.
The display mode complies with EN�54: 2 alarm events can be displayed simulta4
neously on the LCD.
Messages A user text is displayed for each event to provide precise location information.
User texts are prepared for each specific system.
Standard texts are available for type of signal, infos on operation etc.
Even special language symbols can be indicated on LCD without difficulty.
Counter–measures text An individual counter4measures text can be allocated to each zone.
When an event occurs, the texts are displayed upon command.
In each control unit (CPU), up to 16 freely4programmable counter4measures texts are
available.
Alarm scroll key (3) If several events are signalled, the information can be recalled one4by4one.
Indicator fields (4) 4 categories of messages: Information, Isolation, Alarms and Faults.
Emergency operation Emergency operation is a permanent component of the control console. This ensures
operation, which complies with standards, even if the processor in the control console
is malfunctioning.
