As much as possible, if you

are reserving an event, please commit to recruiting the required number of volunteers – while we appreciate unexpected illness will happen, we do need close to the required numbers to resource the event and count on them to be there. For larger events

that have already been advertised to clients, we ask that the commitment is made by the deadline listed above.

Project Green gives a person with complex support and communication needs the opportunity to have a ‘valued’ role in a small business venture (growing, potting, marketing and selling herbs and funky succulents). The aim is for each individual to be responsible for a section of the business process, from the horticulture to the marketing, selling and accounting and more importantly they have a sense that they are contributing.

Tasks/Roles: This event will see you contributing to the project by helping in the gardens, which may include weeding, pruning, harvesting alongside our clients. †

Tasks/Roles: include decorating the venue, purchasing Christmas decorations and gifts for the staff, organising catering and entertainment, presenting awards, raffle prizes before the party. Whilst at the party volunteers will socialise with clients and encourage them to get involved in dancing. Volunteers will also help with set up of catering area, handing out drinks and desserts, etc. †

Note: This event involves a team of volunteers that will be ‘event managing’ in the lead up to the day. The cost is a rough estimate based on previous years.

Tasks/Roles: Could include helping set up and break down the event. Preparing food, cooking sausage sizzle, face painting, hair spraying, and supervising jumping castle, engaging children in disco and maybe more. †

Garden Blitz

Tasks/Roles: Volunteers will work as a team to give the gardens a fabulous blitz. Tasks may include weeding, planting and mulching, potting

Christmas – site decorations
