The testing that is undertaken gives you confidence that:
• equipment will operate in accordance with the design specifications
• the energy cost will be correctly stated
• the products comply with the EN779:2012 standard
• filters will be independently tested in laboratories that are ISO 17025 certified
• filters live up to performance as stated in our product data sheets
Here at CFP we have a range of Eurovent approved products (Certificate No: 15.06.011. Volz GmbH.) that you can rely on!
It means you can be safe in the knowledge that our products have been tested by a third party and given a performance rating according to European and international standards helping you to compare the filters and filter media you use within your air handling units.

The new classification of the filter groups are defined by the mean efficiency measured during dust feeding and are as follows:
G = filters with an efficiency of less than 40% (for 0.4µm particles).
M = filters with an efficiency of between 40% and less than 80% for 0.4µm particles. This concerns the previous filters F5 and F6 which are now referred to as M5 and M6.
F = filters with an efficiency of more than 80% for 0.4µm particles. Class F has a minimum efficiency for both a discharged and a charged state.
Our AIRsyntex and PROsyntex ranges have both achieved the EN 779:2012 standard.
This standard, introduced in October 2012, defines three filter classes: G, M and F, with previous classes F5 and F6 becoming M5 and M6.
This standard states that all filter classes F7-F9 have to show an additional minimum efficiency in a treated state (induced using isopropanol, a highly flammable alcohol and solvent) at particles to reach the respective class. Filters according to the old standard EN 779:2002 may still be used, it’s up to you!
The below table gives an overview of the new filter groups of the EN 779:2012 standard:

Fine FiltrationSynthetic Media
A safe and environmentally friendly alternative to glass fibre, our range of non-shedding synthetic fine filtration media are tested according to EN 779:2012 and are ideal for general industrial painting and paint spraying units.
Choose Fine Filtration Synthetic Media for optimum final filtration.
Silicone freeAll of our fine filtration synthetic media versions are silicone free.
1
High quality filtrationThe progressive structure of this non-shedding synthetic media means the full depth of the material is used, increasing its dust holding capacity. All of the V5 and V6 medias are available tackified with dust adhesive to ensure greater stickiness of dust particles to the media material.
FlexibleAvailable in various size rolls, cut pads, filter socks and wire frames.
