Creative placemaking is a new and fast-growing approach to enhancing community and economic development through arts and culture. The City and Regional Planning section of the Knowlton School at The Ohio State University is now o� ering an online, 10-month Certifi cation in Creative Placemaking program. Study and watch lectures where and when you want – according to your schedule.
The curriculum includes six deep learning modules on creative placemaking, as well as monthly entrepreneurial leadership sessions. Participants develop the skills and knowledge that clients and communities seek to create structures and programs that integrate the arts into their plans for community development. They gain the expertise in creative placemaking that builds their capacity to lead cost-e� ective, inclusive and sustainable initiatives.

The Certifi cation in Creative Placemaking at Ohio State is directed by national award-winning urban planner Leonardo Vazquez, AICP/PP, founder of The National Consortium for Creative Placemaking. The program is produced by the Knowlton School’s City and Regional Planning section, a pioneer and leader in online education for urban planners.
To earn a Certifi cation in Creative Placemaking, students will need to pass all six creative placemaking modules and demonstrate competency in the subject by working on a creative placemaking project and writing about their experiences.
