Canadian Child Abuse Association (CCAA) is pleased to offer the only voluntary certification program for forensic child interviewers in Canada accredited by the Standards Council of Canada according to ISO-17024 standards. The interview skills of child abuse investigators are subject to close scrutiny by Crown and defence lawyers in the courts. As such, it is critical that investigators demonstrate their competence in conducting forensic child abuse interviews as part of a certification process. CCAA is a national organization establishing advanced standards of forensic investigation and supporting professionals in reaching their potential as investigators by minimizing the trauma to children, maximizing the information gathered, and minimizing evidence contamination.
