Canadian Child Abuse Association (CCAA) is pleased to offer the
only voluntary certification program for forensic child interviewers
in Canada accredited by the Standards Council of Canada according
to ISO-17024 standards.
The interview skills of child abuse investigators are subject to close
scrutiny by Crown and defence lawyers in the courts. As such,
it is critical that investigators demonstrate their competence in
conducting forensic child abuse interviews as part of a certification
process. CCAA is a national organization establishing advanced
standards of forensic investigation and supporting professionals in
reaching their potential as investigators by minimizing the trauma
to children, maximizing the information gathered, and minimizing
evidence contamination.
