Exams
Earn the CGEIT designation.
There are certain
requirements candidates must
meet (achieve a passing score
on the CGEIT exam; adhere
to the ISACA Code of
Professional Ethics; agree to
comply with the CGEIT
Continuing Education Policy;
provide evidence of
appropriate IT governance
work experience as defined
by the CGEIT Job Practice.
Five (5) or more years of
experience managing, serving
in an advisory or oversight
role, and/or otherwise
supporting the governance of
the IT-related contribution to
an enterprise is required to
apply for certification.
This experience is defined
specifically by the domains
and task statements
described in the CGEIT Job
Practice.)
Taking the Exam. It is
important to note that
individuals may choose to
take the CGEIT exam prior to
meeting the experience
requirements. This practice is
acceptable and encouraged,
although the CGEIT
designation will not be
awarded until all
requirements are met.
