Approved by the Montana Department of Health and Human Services, FVCC’s Nurse’s Aide Training course prepares students to enter the workforce as entry-level nursing assistants. Through hands-on clinical training, the intensive course teaches students the skills and applications required to address the needs of chronically-ill patients in long-term care facilities. Students also gain an understanding of basic medical terminology, basic human anatomy and physiology and the aging process.

Opportunities• At the end of the course, students are given the CNA test approved by the state of

Montana. Students who pass the test will obtain their CNA licenses and become certified and eligible to work in assisted living facilities.

• A 10-year employment forecast by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that demand for CNAs will increase by 17% until 2024.

• The mean annual salary for a licensed CNA working in Montana is $25,950.
