PROSPECTUS

B.B.A/B.C.A/B.B.M.(I.B.) Courses Common Entrance Examination 2009 As per decision of University authorities, Pune University is going to conduct a common entrance examination for admission of 1s t year of B.B.A/B.C.A/B.B.M.(I.B.) course. Common Entrance examination is compulsory for 1st year admission of above courses.

Eligibility Criteria Higher Secondary School certificate (10+2) or its equivalent examination with a minimum

of 45% marks, and "English" as one of the subject.

:: OR ::

Three Years Diploma course after S.S.C. i.e. 10th Standard, of Board of Technical Education conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra or its equivalent.

:: OR ::

Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy after H.S.C., of Board of Technical Education conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra or its equivalent.

:: OR :: M.C.V.C. Every candidate has to appear common entrance test conducted by UoP/Association

of Colleges/Institute.

Types of Seats Other State: maximum 10% of the sanctioned intake capacity. NRI: maximum 10% of the sanctioned intake capacity will be made by Pune University

International Students Center. Foreign Students/Foreign Nationals/PIO: maximum 15% over and above the sanctioned

intake capacity will be made by Pune University International Students Center.

Jammu & Kashmir Migrants: one seat over and above the sanctioned intake capacity.

Reservation

A. Reservation for Backward Category candidates : The percentage of seats reserved for Backward Category candidates from Maharashtra State

are as per the details shown in the table below.

Notes:

a. Candidates belonging to Special Backward Class (SBC) will be offered reservation upto 2% seats of the seats available for Maharashtra candidates, no separate seats are earmarked.

b. Even if the candidate belonging to Backward Class category secures

admission against a seat belonging to General category by virtue of merit, such candidate has to produce all the necessary documents in support of the category claimed at the time of admission.

B. Reservation for Physically Handicapped Candidates:

Three percent seats of total sanctioned intake capacity shall be reserved for Physically Handicapped Candidates. Out of these seats one percent each for Blind, Deaf & Dumb, And Orthopedic Disorder.

How To Apply

1. Please go through all the details like Important dates, Eligibility Criteria before filling up the online Application form for Common Entrance test for B.B.A./B.C.A./B.B.M.(I.B.)

First draw the DD (The Demand Draft should be drawn in the name of ‘Registrar, University of Pune ’, payable at Pune and drawn on any Nationalized Bank) of amount of rs 250/-. Please carry all the detail Information of your DD with you when you start filling the online form .

It is extremely important to fill the details of Demand Draft in the Application form which is compulsory for form submission.

KINDLY FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BELOW :

2. Once you are ready with all the details, click on the Link Apply Online where you will be in a position to fill an Application form for an common entrance examination of B.B.A./B.C.A./B.B.M.(I.B.).

3. • Fill all the information carefully as per the given instructions. • Once you fill all the details, click on the "Submit" button. • After submitting the online form, system will generate one unique

Application Number for your application, which you have note down. • After submitting the application, you can take the printout of Filled

Application form by clicking text "Click here to take the Printout". • OR To take a printout later, you can click on the Link "Print

Application", and entering your Name/Application No. and birth date.

4. The student have to Post /Courier the following documents :

• The Printout of His/Her Application form with photo at appropriate place and attested from Head Master/Principal of the College/Gazetted officer.

• Also enclose the following documents along with form.

i. Certificate of posting in case of defense and govt. servants.

ii. Certificate for stay in refugee camp for those staying in refugee camp.

iii. Certificate stating that the candidate belongs to displaced family.

Application should reach by Post/Courier to the Dy. Registrar, Academic Section, University of Pune, Ganeshkhind, Pune 411007.

5. If your form is valid (with all details, attested enclosed documents, true eligibility criteria), an On line Hall ticket will be provided to you 15 days before the examination.

6. Hall ticket will not be send to the candidates by post. You have to take a printout of the Admit Card (Hall Ticket), by clicking "Print Hall Ticket" by searching your Name.

7. Paste your passport size photograph on the space provided on Printout of Admit card and get it attested from Principal of any Senior College or Govt. Gazetted Officer

8. Student has to come with this Printout of the Admit card at the time of the Entrance test Examination.

Procedure for submission of printout of application form:

1. Arrange the Application form & the required documents enlisted.

2. Paste your passport size photograph on the space provided on the printout of Application form.

3. Write your Application Form Number, your name and address behind the Application Fee Demand Draft.

4. Sign exactly inside the space provided for the signature on the printout of the Application Form and Admit Card above.

5. Enclose the form along with the required documents and Application Fee DD in an A4 size (9” X 12”) envelope.

6. Seal the envelope properly and write the specified address (mentioned above) on it.

7. write on the top of the envelope "Application form for B.B.A/B.C.A/B.B.M. Entrance Examination 2009." Also write your name and complete postal address on the reverse side of envelope.

8. Affix appropriate postage on envelope and send the envelope to the address mentioned above by post /speed post so as to reach on or before last date of submission of printout of application form as given in Important dates.

The Structure of the question paper The question paper is based on following topics.

1. English Language 2. General Knowledge 3. Numerical Abilities 4. Logical reasoning a) The question paper will be set on (10+2) level knowledge. b) The question paper will consist of only objective multiple-choice questions and will carry 100 marks. Time allotted for the test will be 2 hours c) There will be no negative marking system for wrong answers.

Schedule & procedure of Examination:

a) Web-site for filling the examination form will be open from 27th February, 2009, 11.00 a.m. onwards and will close on 15th April, 2009 at 6.00 p.m.

b) Last date to submission of hard copy of Application form along with D.D. is 24th April, 2009. Hard copies of the forms received after 24th April, 2009 will not be considered.

2. You will not be admitted to the Entrance Examination Hall without Hall Ticket.

4. This admit card will be considered valid for the Entrance Examination only if, printout of your application form along with the required documents and the application fee Demand Draft is received by Department before the last date of submission.

5. You are requested to report at the Entrance Examination venue specified by you, before the start of the test.
