What does that mean?Intentionallysubmittingfalseinformationtothegovernmentoragovernmentcontractorin
ordertogetmoneyorabenefit.
Example: Youdon’tdeliverservicestoaclient,butyouchartontoyourtimecardthatservicesweredeliveredbyyoutotheclient.
What is Waste?Touse,consumeandspendunnecessarilythroughthoughtlessnessorcarelessness.
Example: Takingcompanysuppliedequipment(likegloves),whenyoustillhaveagoodsupplyonhandorusingthesuppliedequipmentcarelessly.
What is Abuse?Givinginformationordocumentationregardingservicesinawaythatimproperlyusesprogramresourcesforpersonalgainorbenefit.Abusecanhappenwithnointentionaldeceptionorintentionalmisrepresentation.
Example: Notutilizingservicetimecorrectlyandreportingthatmoretimeisneededorthattimeisnotenoughtocareforaclient,whenclientisreceivingsufficienttimeneededforrequiredcares.

Donotbeconcernedaboutwhetheranactisoffraud,waste,orabuse.Itisyourresponsibilitytoreportanyconcernstoyourcomplianceofficer.Thecomplianceofficerwillinvestigateandmaketheproperdetermination.
Everyoneisrequiredtoreportsuspectedinstancesoffraud,waste,andabuse.Youremployer’sCodeofConductandEthicsshouldclearlystatethisobligation.Employersmaynotretaliateagainstyouformakingagoodfaitheffortinreporting.
