We have designed two modules of coursework that covers all the
financial, economic, and accounting theory that a student must master
for the Level 1 exam. The material covered in these courses is not
restricted to CFA material but will cover additional topics as deemed
appropriate by the instructor. In other words, these courses are not
teaching to the test but are covering a body of knowledge that
includes the topics covered in the Level I exam. As such, they will
often include material a CFA student will see in Level II and III
exams.
Course Academic Coordinator:
Mr. Zia U. Khan will be the academic coordinator for this course. He ha
MBA in Finance & Investments, Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.), and Maof Science in Engineering (MS), and, all three from Arizona State UniversHe is also a CPA and CMA in USA. In 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2Microsoft Corporation USA presented him the Most Valuable Professi
(MVP) award, five times in a row. He has ten years of experience in teachBusiness and Computer Science subjects and over ten years of experiencdevelopment of business and financial software projects.

(CFA) designation is the fastestgrowing and the most prestigious
professional credentials in the worldand is a globally recognized standard
for measuring the competence andintegrity of financial analysts. Its curriculum developsand reinforces a fundamental knowledge ofinvestment principles.
Three levels of examination measure a candidate's ability to applythese principles at a professional level. All three exams are
administered on paper, on a single day; the Level I exam isadministered twice a year (usually the first weekend of June and
December). The Level II and III exams are administered once a year,usually the first weekend of June. Both Level I and Level II are
entirely multiple choice with no negative marking, while Level IIIconsists of a session of short-answer questions and a session that is
multiple choice. These CFA exams are administered by the CFAInstitute, which is the world largest professional association ofInvestment professionals that has 90,000 members. For more detailsgo to: http://www.cfainstitute.org.
The material on the CFA exams have become increasingly technical and complex, reflecting the rapidly developing area of financial theory,students are having an increasingly difficult time mastering it on their own. As a result, pass rates on all levels have continually fallen over
the last decade.
Continuing Education Programme is inviting applications for a CFA preparation course with the aim of helping Pakistanis to pass these
exams and bring them into the fold of global investment professionals. Our goal is to provide Pakistani students and professionals anopportunity to compete with the best in the world.
Enrollment Requirements for the CFA:
Have 4 years of college/university education; or
Have at least four years of work experience; or
Have a combination of college/university and work experience that
total at least four years.
CFA Preparation for the Working Professional:
The programs curriculum allows you to prepare for the CFA Level 1exam in just 10 months without interrupting your career, through:
Two modules total, five months each
One intensive residence week before the exam
The program includes coursework, study groups, and seminars thatwill begin on February 21, 2012 and culminate in the student sitting
for the exam in December of 2012. Passing the Level 1 Examrequires the mastery of material covered in 18 Study Sessions defined
by the CFA Institute. These study sessions cover Financial Theory,Economics, Financial Statement Analysis, and Ethics & Professional
Standards.

From the past results of our students we can infer thatit helps if you have a background in accounting orfinance, but with hard work you can still pass the exameven if you do not have this advantage. CFA is theworld's most valuable qualification we suggest thatyou should attempt to pass this exam no matter whatyou background.
Passed CFA Level 3The following students of our program have passed theCFA Level 1, 2, & 3 Exam:1. Mr. Mohammed AliHe is one of the best students we have had theprivilege to teach. He has also passed the FRM exam.He has a background in banking and currently he isworking for MCB.
2. Mr. Mansoor SheikhHe did not have any background in accounting orfinance but due to his hard work he has been able topass both CFA Level 1 and 2.
3. Mr. Zeeshan AbdulrazzakHe has done his B.Com. and is working as a ResearchAnalyst at the financial newspaper called FinancialDaily.
4. Mr. Muhammad Usama WakilHe is one of most consistent students we have seenand is the very best. He has also passed the completeFRM exam.
Passed CFA Level 2The following students of our program have passed theCFA Level 1 & 2 Exam:1. Mr. M. Hammad AhmedHe has an accounting background; previously he had
passed the CMA Part 1, 2, 3 and 4 from our CMA/CPAProgram.2. Mr. Zeeshan HanifCurrently he is working as a Software Engineer inEtilize Pakistan. Previously, he had scored 610 in CMAPart 2, which was the highest score in Pakistan at thattime. He has also passed CMA Part 1. He has passedsix international certifications in computer science.3. Mr. Ahmed Afraz ArifHe has done his graduation in Computer Science andhad no previous background in business subjects. Hehas also passed FRM Level 1.4. M. exams in the world---sheer hard work and
determination. His success proves that you dont needa financial background to pass the CFA Exam.

He has a strong background in accounting and hascompleted ACCA.
4. Mr. Omair Zaman
He is a software developer with a background incomputer science. He has a MCS and also has donetwo Java certifications: SCJP and SCWCD. He was ableto pass without any background in accounting orfinance.
5. Mr. Azfar Hasan
He has done his MBA from IBA and is currently workingas an Investment Banker in Standard Chartered Bank.

He is a Chartered Accountant who has recently startedworking for Dubai Investment PJSC.
