Concluding topic thoughtsIt is a good thing to incorporate technology if

it is used correctly. Even though having technology in education

is a good thing, I feel that it will put more work on the teachers.

Thoughts on TopicText books should be left in schools. Students need to

know how to read from a book, rather than off a screen. Children should try different methods of learning, rather than just one.

Bringing Digital Textbooks To The Masses

Many Schools replacing textbooks with computers.

California, Texas, and Florida represent 30% of the textbook market.

Digital textbooks are cheaper to maintain.

ContinuedDigital textbooks are convenient but are

useless without internet.Having electronical text allows links and

rich media and school books.Computers are financially cheaper than

textbooks provided in schools.

Final Thoughts on Digital Textbooks

Page 11: C:\fakepath\technology and education

Final Thoughts on Digital TextbooksI am not sure if I agree with digital textbooks or not. In

the long run they do see that they would be cheaper than actual text books. I feel that students should be able to read from a text book, than reading from a screen.

I would rather read a book, than read something from a computer or another screen.

Conclusion

Page 12: C:\fakepath\technology and education

ConclusionTechnology is a great thing in education if it used properly. Children

these days are very smart. They know how to work their way around computers. If there is going to be access to the internet in schools, there should be certain websites that are blocked.

Teachers should you technology as a tool in their classroom. Students need different ways of learning. They will learn best if the technology is used the right way.
