“Life, it seems, is not an incidental component of the universe burped up out component of the universe, burped up out
of a random chemical brew on a lonely l t t d f f fl ti ti k f planet to endure for a few fleeting ticks of
the cosmic clock. In some strange sense, it appears that we are not adapted to the universe; the universe is adapted to us.”; p

Who are the Nephilim?
Two Theories
1. “Sons of God” believed to be fallen angels (Revelations 12:7-9?) that possessed the bodies of men and intermarried with human women creating a corrupt intermarried with human women creating a corrupt offspring of giants. Possibly Satan’s attempt to thwart God’s plan for redemption (Genesis 3:14) by corrupting mankind. A real cause for evil in the world, the Nephilim mankind. A real cause for evil in the world, the Nephilim may have been the main reason that God destroyed the inhabitants of the earth, except for Noah’s family. (See also: Luke 17:26-27, Jude 6-7, 2 Peter 2:4-5, Apocryphal Book of Enoch chapters 6-7)
2. Seth sons intermarrying with the daughters of Cain creating in a wicked line of offspring.
