Innovation at its FinestA Chaff Press is an innovative machine designed to compress chaff & fines (loose hay) into easy to use bales. With the ability to compress higher than field bale density, storage and transport are more efficiently optimized.

The compact construction of the Chaff Press fits easily into a production facility and is fully automated. Each press is designed with a web-based monitoring system reporting on production, machine statistics, downtime, management reports and provides historical or weekly/monthly reports.

CHAFF PRESS SERIES FEATURES

MINIMAL STAFF REQUIREMENTS One to two people can operate the press under normal plant conditions.

AUTOMATION The Hunterwood Chaff Press is fully automated and controlled from a PLC located on the operator's platform next to the press. The colour touch screen allows operators to control and monitor all components of the press. The PLC provides up-to-the-second reporting of production output, component pressures and temperatures, and monitoring of third-party equipment.

OPTIONAL INPUT & OUTPUT SCALING

Optional input and output scaling are synchronized to produce a bale weight measured within 3% of the targeted weight and a container weight measured within 1% of the maximum allowable.

HUNTERWOOD ONLINE (Web-based)

Available online access of press and component diagnostics. This program provides detailed shift-by-shift production and downtime reports to assist the plant manager's ability to obtain consistent press operation for peak efficiency. Hunterwood Online allows for real-time monitoring from any location.

OPTIONAL HUNTERWOOD COMPONENTS

Hunterwood provides modular components allowing for flexibility with product output or features that increase automation.

INPUT The Chaff Press comes standard with a surface mounted Chaff Pit and a Loose Hay Sweep. Other equipment that may be integrated into your Hunterwood may include: grinders, mixers, shredders, bale breakers, round bale unrollers and the Big Bale Grid Slicing System. These inputs may be used to blend product for a TMR bale.
