Mem"ers welcome to the &rd sitting of #$1# and the last as we

close the 'ear( "ut also it is the )

'ear of our e*istence as aBO+ and it has "een an o,,ortunit' of ser!ing together for

these full ) 'ears of intensi!e work as a Board( there are man'

things the "oard has worked in the )'ears with its Committees%

Appreciations

Since the "eginning of this 'ear and from the time when this

Board was formulated soon after the o,ening of this School from

African -hite .and Collage we ha!e see +od at work in and

through all of us making it ,ossi"le to work as a team and /

would like to e*tend m' ,ersonal a,,reciation to the following

1% 0he irectors and SEROMA .M0 for the ,arental care( lo!e

that has made it ,ossi"le to get to where we are as

SEROMA Christian High School 20he School of di3erence%

a% 5or the trust the' ha!e "estowed in us all these 'ears

"% 5or allowing us to work as a team with them in

formulating ,olicies for the school%

c% 5or a!ailing SEROMA .M0 funds that ha!e "een ke' in

getting us where we are

#% Chairman and the mem"ers of the S,iritual( isci,line and

-elfare Committee working with Management a lot has"een done that has solidi6ed our 7ision and Mission%

&% 0he Chairman and mem"ers of the Academic Committee

for ,rom,t ,rofessionalism that has alwa's guided us and

has monitored our im,ro!ing academic ,erformances%

4% 0he Chairman and mem"ers of 5inance( 8lanning and

e!elo,ment for alwa's dreaming( monitoring our 6nancial

in!estments and de!elo,ment%

9% 0he Head master with Management team that has tirelessl'

worked on im,lementing the Board ,olicies( and the entire

sta3 team for the da' to da' running of the school all these

'ears

:% / want thank the .ord for the o,,ortunit' and the trust 'ouha!e ,ut in me all these 'ears as 'our chairman( thank

'ou for gi!ing me the o,,ortunit' to learn from 'our !ast

e*,eriences 2when 'ou walk with the wise 'ou "ecome

B.The need to remember where we have come from is

key to prepare to celebrate our tenth year of God’sfaithfulness and provision

Remem"er our small "eginning

a% ;ust with few "uildings for classroom( students’

accommodation( and some mem"ers of the sta3

sta'ing in rooms that would ha!e "een classrooms%

But now ha!ing a massi!e and clearl' distri"uted

facilities for classrooms( students accommodation and

sta3 housing with more to "e "uilt

i% -ith a growing sta3 accommodation at school and

with ,lans to construct more as funds are secured

i% 0he starting of SEROMA "a"' 20he urser'School to meet our immediate sta3 ,arents and

the surrounding communit'%ii% But also to gi!e us a soft landing to o,en the

8rimar' section in the near future

#% 0he funding of our dail' critical e*,enses

a% 0he feeding of our students and all the sta3 mem"ers"% 8a'ing of our sta3 salariesc% 0he Administrati!e costsd% 0he ma>or monthl' utilit' costl' like ?MEMe% Etc

&% +od’s ,ro!ision that has made it ,ossi"le to do the

e*tensi!e construction of the uni@ue infrastructures of our

school making it a uni@ue one like the Margaret ormitor'20he School of i3erence

C.Areas that have been a challenge but with close

supervision from the Head teacher and his team

there is ongoing improvement

1% School fees collection since it is our onl' source of incomea% +etting to the 1$$ fees collection "' closing all the

ro,e holes in our s'stem% 0hanks to our team for the

growing im,ro!ement"% As a 8ri!ate School we need to 6nd a wa' to ha!e a

clear stand o!er the State Houses su,,orted students

that ha!e "een transferred to Ministr' of Education(

with this change of ownershi, it means ha!ing to wait

for another cou,les of months for this is a "udgetar'

issuesc% A!oid ending the academic 'ear when we ha!e a =ero

"alance to the e*tent that we end u, "orrowing to ,a'

salaries in ;anuar' of the ne*t 'ear

#% A well organi=ed 5inance e,artmenta% -e thank the .ord for the wa' our Resident irector

has "een getting "etter with the gift of a new "a"'"% Ha!ing a well ,re,ared and thought through Budget

that can "e monitored "' the leadershi,

Ha!ing current "anking reconditions that can facilitate

o">ecti!e 6nancial decisions( which can onl' "e ,ossi"le with

a skilled team

. !lan for other sources of founding outside the fees

and also the ma"imi#ation of the other current

sources

1% e!elo, other sources of income to generate funds so that

we can em"ank on the "ig ,ending de!elo,ments as we

,re,are to cere"rate and cross our 1$th 'ears and "e'ond#% 0he ma*imi=ation of he a!aila"le facilities as ke' funding

sources with clear known rates a,,ro!ed "' the Board

-ishing 'ou a good and successful 5inance( 8lanning and

e!elo,ment meeting on this da' of th o!% #$1# that is going

to launch us in the cere"ration of our 1$th 'ear of our great

e*istence as the 20he +lo"al Hu" for Christ centred Education

and Ser!ices%
