Bunny Money, the Cham-ber’s inhouse shop local program, has a new look! Now printed in color, Bun-ny Money has increased security features and pro-motes the top ten reasons to Buy in the Briar Patch. Participating merchants will receive an informa-tion packet highlighting the changes. If you are a retail or restaurant business that would like to sign up to re-ceive Bunny Money, please contact the Chamber to be added to the list. Wednesday, Nov. 6: Kinorhook BBQ LLC Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11 a.m. located at 207 Oak Street in Eatonton. Join us as we celebrate the new location in town with Fred and Barbara Ward. Immediately following the ribbon cutting, the res-taurant will open for business. Everyone is encouraged to stay for lunch and support the restaurant during its grand opening.
Tuesday, Nov. 12: Legislative Breakfast from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. at The Plaza Arts Center located at 305 N. Madison Ave. in Eatonton. The Legislative Breakfast gives you the opportunity to meet with some of our state and federal elected officials or their representatives. Tuesday, Nov. 12: Putnam Greene Young Professionals Sip n’ Bites FREE Holiday Celebration from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Crooked Pines Farm located at 355 Harmony Road in Eatonton. This FREE event will include live music by Blind Driver, food by Spillin the Beans, beer and wine provided by Greer Force Marketing and Justin Peacock: Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty, and a fun game of Dirty Santa to give away several great door prizes. Remember to bring a business card for a chance to play Dirty Santa and canned goods to support food drives during the upcoming holiday season. On Monday, Oct. 21, the Chamber hosted prolific trav-el writers, Andy Gross and Irv Green, during their tour of the Antebellum Trail. In Eatonton, The Uncle Remus Museum, Historic District, The Plaza Arts Center, Alice Walker Driving Trail, South-
ern Manor Farms and Rock Eagle were highlighted with a visit. Andy and Irv write freelance stories and produce a syndicated column called “Traveltizers” that appears in more than 50 lifestyle magazines, mostly senior publications including AAA Home and Away.
Amici Lake Oconee held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Ami-ci is under new ownership by the same owners as the Milledgeville location. Coffee Connections was held on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Central Georgia Technical College. Putnam Campus Director Carrie Dietrich informed the attendees about the school’s three areas of focus which include col-lege credits, adult education and economic development programs. At-tendees were then given a tour of the campus to see the distance learn-ing technology and classrooms set up for welding, health care courses, adult education and testing.
