The Harvard Chamber of Com-merce has always encouraged its members to attend our mixers. The purpose of the mixers is to network and socialize with the community. This opportunity is included in your yearly dues.

Adams Collision-Chamber Mixer on Tuesday, October 2nd was a perfect example of a successful mixer. Many members of our community were there to net-work and just have some fun.

We also enjoyed great sand-wiches, desserts, wine and beer.

Many of you in Harvard have seen the Chamber’s cute fuzzy beanie cows around town. Twenty-four Harmilda Cows found a new and important home on Thursday, September 20th. These cows were donated to the Harvard Police Department and the Harvard Fire Department.

Both the Departments use donated stuffed toys to comfort scared and upset children they en-counter while out on calls.

Chief Dan Kazy-Garey and Assistant Chief Alan Styles told the Chamber using the stuffed toys has helped tremendously in helping the children.

If you or your organization is interested in donat-ing stuffed animals to the Harvard Police and the Harvard Fire Department please contact their non-emergency numbers.

Greeter Service Bags What is a Greeter Service Bag? A Greeter Service Bag is a bag filled with advertisement from our Chamber Members. Think of these as the Wel-come Wagon to new residents of Harvard.

The Chamber needs your help. We are running low on material to place in our bags. We are in need of items with your company name; it could be as simple as your business card or a coupon to encourage them to visit your business.

You can drop off your advertisement at the Cham-ber Office or give us a call and we would be happy to come pick it up. Please call 815-943-4404.

Welcome to Harvard
