The Healthy Relationship Project

The Healthy Relationship Project of Children’s Aid Society

provides FREE workshops that strengthen relationships. Research

based curriculum is presented in fun and interactive ways to help

individuals and/or couples improve relationships of the present or

future. Participants gain positive communication skills, insight for whom and what you want in a relationship, smart love skills, and

building blocks for healthy relationships. Additional perks for par-

ticipating in the program include free meals and gift cards.

Workshops are available in a variety of formats to fit the needs

and schedules of the community. We offer workshops for married

couples, unmarried individuals and/or couples and for teens. Work-

shops are held throughout the year at various locations in Clearfield

County and eight surrounding counties.

Dates for upcoming workshops are as follows:

Forsyth Drilling, Inc., in DuBois, PA, has been in business since the 1950s and has been a member of the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce for 32 years! Zane and Pat Forsyth were the owners beginning in the 50s; then in 1987, Raymond and Dianne (Forsyth) Moore acquired it and formed a corporation. Being a small, family-owned business, the Moores run their drilling company with the assistance of their three adult children. Forsyth Drilling, Inc., drills blast, test, and core holes for the coal industry in PA and also water wells and geothermal holes for homes, farms, and industry. The company works within a 50- mile radius of DuBois. Besides water wells, the company also installs Goulds submersible pumps and installs all hardware needed up to and including the holding tank. Backhoe service is also available for digging the ditch between the well and structure.

Well cleaning and investigating water problems are also other im-portant services which the company offers. Reasonable rates are charged for all services.

Forsyth Drilling, Inc., is accredited by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, and the driller is certified in geothermal loop installation. There are tax credits for consumers for installing geothermal systems up through 2016. There is no cap, and a home or business owner can get tax credits for up to 30% of the cost of the system installed.

Why have your sales declined, or Why do you have the hardest time gaining new customers?

Let’s look at the example of buying a new car (new, pre-owned, etc). What were the first things you might have done? Searched on Google for photos or ideas of the car brands and models you might like? Go to a manufacturer site like Chevy or Honda and review car specs or current loan offers and incentives? Go on Facebook and make a post asking for your friends’ input or suggestions?

This is exactly how most buyers – whether for a new car, TV, appliances, furniture, college, books, clothing, gift ideas and so on – are thinking, acting and doing for many purchase decisions. Does any of your current marketing or sales strategies reflect this???

The Internet, social media (mostly Facebook) and smartphones have fundamentally changed the way people find, discover, share, shop, and connect.

People want to share everything in their life – their events, thoughts, experiences and more. A lot of this occurs on Facebook. This includes what they buy and how they spend their time. This is the word of mouth and marketing value I bet that you’re missing out on. For better or for worse, they’re going to talk about you or not at all. If not, you’re com-pletely out of the conversation and their awareness that your brick-and-mortar or online store is an option.

A close runner-up is Facebook, but the biggest catalyst to change this problem starts with your website. It’s not just for your logo, store hours, and one page about what you sell. You must tell your “story” in a crea-tive way using photos, videos, links, creative, testimonials and text to let your customer in on what their total experience will be with you. You need to tell them WHY you are better than any competitor – how you are different, why your business is worth their considering, why you’re trust-worthy, and why you’re unique.

This approach begins the process of creating new, interested people into engaged, loyal customers. This is how you will survive and grow. The idea is to get these potential customers to explore your website. The end of the equation is to get their information, an e-mail address at minimum, and start a database. You can then use e-mail marketing pro-moting new products, bundling specials and exclusive incentives, invite them to LIKE your Facebook page and drive them back to your website for further engagement.

Let’s pretend you don’t believe any of this. Read these stats: Over 80% of your sales comes from 20% of your customers Marketing constantly to new buyers can cost six times more than

marketing towards repeat purchasers and creating loyalty with those current customers.

If you use this new approach, you’ll absolutely generate awareness to new customers, collect their info, target them, build engagement and credibility creating loyal repeat buyers, and lower your marketing costs. Then you’ll make more sales, keep costs in line, make more money, can hire staff to generate more business, spend some dollars on marketing, build and maintain your loyal customer base. Fairfield Inn & Suites

Located directly south of Interstate 80 exit 101, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott will include 91 guestrooms and suites. The hotel will provide free hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and will include an indoor pool, fitness room, and large meeting room. We are pleased to introduce the management team for the hotel sched-uled to open on April 18th. The hotel was developed by Exit 101 LLC and is managed by Interstate Hotels and Resorts. Steven Morgan, General Manager Steve brings 12 years of hospitality experience (7 years with Interstate Hotels and Resorts) to the hotel and is a 2004 graduate of the Hospitality Management program at Pennsylvania State University. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society and was also Vice President of the Centre County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Rebecca Yasick, Sales Manager Rebecca Yasick has over 15 years of Hospitality Experience, has worked with Interstate Hotels and Resorts for over 8 years. While attending Penn State University, Rebecca worked at the Hampton Inn State College as a Guest Service Agent, and was promoted to Front Office Manager. Rebecca has held many different titles and positions from Guest Service Agent to General Manager. Rebecca is joining the Fairfield Inn & Suites as the Sales Manager, and is excited to be back in DuBois, and being a part of this amazing hotel project. Edward Werner, Chief Engineer Ed brings 32 years of plumbing experience to the Fairfield Inn & Suites, licensed in HVAC since 1994 and as a licensed plumber since 1983. He owned and operated his own HVAC business for 28 years. He is in charge of keeping the building in top shape and also using our computerized preventative maintenance program to create weekly work lists for he and his maintenance assistant. Jennifer Vaow, Front Office Manager Jennifer Vaow has over eight years of hotel and customer service experi-ence. She has been an assistant manager for two different franchised ho-tels as well as one independently operated hotel.
