CEO ChatterIt’s time for the Apple Blossom Festival, the biggest event of the

year for Winchester and the surrounding communities. The Cham-ber is a proud sponsor of the Business at the Bloom luncheon on May 3rd.

The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber kicked off the Centennial Celebration Car Raffle at Jim Stutzman Chevrolet on April 24th. One lucky ticket holder will win a 2017 Chevy Cruz Hatchback LT Automatic. Read more about the Centennial Car Raffle on page 6.

Another benefit the Chamber can provide our members is be-ing an advocate for your business or organization when regula-tory or legislative issues arise that may impact the operation of your business or organization. The Chamber’s Public Policy Com-

mittee is composed of business owners, concerned citizens, and representatives from regulatory agencies and elected officials.

This committee meets monthly and actively solicits your issues, takes the time to fully understand all aspects, and takes the appropriate position in support of our members. Additionally, this committee presents a number of forums throughout the year to hear from our elected officials and County/City Administrators. If you have an issue, please let us know so we can help you. For more information on the upcoming Public Policy Breakfast flip to page 7.

This is your Chamber and we look forward to serving you in this Centennial year of 2017. Please let us know how we are doing. The best thing you can do is get involved! We truly appreciate your investment in the Chamber.

TestimonialAt Literacy Volunteers Winchester Area, we are committed

to improving our community by advancing essential literacy skills for adults through education. As a member of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber (TVRC), we have the opportunity to build partnerships and to be a resource for businesses and com-munity leaders. That allows us to address the needs of adult litera-cy in the region, to ensure a workforce that has sufficient skills and education to be competitive. I also had the opportunity to par-ticipate in the TVRC 2014-2015 Community Leadership Program, which I would highly recommend.
